WCMUT....what cheered me up today

Was in my local ASDA and saw a 12-13 yr old girl shopping on her own offer to help an elderly man in a mobility scooter who was struggling to get an item. Cheered me up as it broke many stereotypes of the local youths.

I'd say the driver scored a 10/10 there.
Keeping the victim on the car is a neat trick ;)
Hit and run, AND take the evidence with you

Wcmut that is one more week until my gorgeous wife and children are back in Blighty. The lucky girls saw a pod of about 35 dolphins today and then whales migrating. So pleased for them.

If they pass by Calais on the way home they will be able to see thousands of people trying to do similar. ;)

I do hope, for your sake, you've kept the place clean and tidy while they have been away.

Nah. Pick them up from the airport, then when you get home.... "Oh no! We've been burgled. They stolen all the beer!"
Got to be worth a try?

It scared me, last night instead of sitting down, watch a movie, write some code etc. I cut the lawn, put the bins out, done the laundry, put it through the tumble dryer, ironed it, then went on to hoover the house and mop the floors. I didn't sit down until 23:30. Damn I've been trained too well, normally don't do any of that stuff.

Don't do too good a job of it, you could find yourself doing it way too often in the future. :)

She'll assume you've not been staying there. Your days are numbered. ;) :D

Lol good point. I think I'm more worried concerned about the spies. We seem to be having all sorts of people going in our home during the day. Our dog walker let's herself in, as does a neighbour as she also checks in the dog. And the gardeners come and go as well. I really threw them one day when I was at home during the day :) I bet a few people on here have a key for the doors and rfid tag for the alarm as well. :God:

The dog has got more carers than I do. Where are the cleaners? And cooks? They must have gone on a holiday :)

After the night before last (woke at 03:00 and couldn't get back to sleep again), getting a good night's sleep has cheered me up somewhat!

What is going to cheer me up today.... Getting ready to go and take my daughter to Blair Drumond Safari Park for the day for her 9th birthday

WCMUT....half day off to go and see 22 Spitfires and Hurricanes flying out of Biggin Hill :-)

WCMUY..... 45kg dumbbell bench press, nailed it, bring on the 47.5kg's next week. :)

King wrote 'Four Past Midnight', I think it was a collection of short stories.

Now have stereo working with USB stick! 120 mile round trip in new to me car and nothing fell off or stopped working :)

Not sure about the cheered me up thing, more like bloody amazed me, I was following a BMW along a reasonably quiet M1early this morning. Not only did he signal to move out to over take, and signal to move back in again, not content with that, he even used all 3 lanes as and when appropriated.
I can only surmise he has not had the car that long, and has not read the BMW drivers handbook as yet :D

Sorry Chris, I just dont believe you. No need to make up stories... :D

I just wished I'd had a dash cam fitted, Nick. That would have gone viral on you tube, I bet :D

Maybe he stole it and is trying to drive "normally" to avoid being pulled...

...oh, wait...

Hake and chips for lunch, followed by a hot chocolate and 1/2 a slice of treacle tart.

Being forgiven for worm dropping the cat (again). I'm sure she's got a worse memory than a goldfish! OR that food makes her forgetful.

2. Travel insurance
3. Breakdown cover for the ovlov
4. An epic location for 2 weeks, yes 2 weeks, of landscape photography in the French side of the Pyranees.

Epic road trip in Le Mont St Michel en route and palace of Versailles on way back

I must say that top / centre cloud formation makes it look like there is smoke coming out of the castle "chimney" :D

Enjoy your trip Steve
