WCMUT....what cheered me up today

That was its second pass tonight, Ruth. :p

Yep generally two passes ninety minutes apart (occassionally one) ..wasn't available for the first though lol

My "what cheered me up today" thing is having just converted my trusty American-style cruiser push bike into an electric bike. Just had an electric motor and battery kit fitted to it and it actually works and thus banished those up hills blues.

Spending the day with my little girl at the science festival and then dinner together

6th, 7th 8th and 9th. First 5 were less cheering up!

Swallows are back! Love them, all that chattering.... summer's here :)

Wonderful Jim, I hope we will be seeing some more photos of them this year

Swallows, sand martins and swifts are all back up here now.

Glorious sunshine again and off on a course this afternoon. First full 18 hole course for me.

Got up at 5 this morning went for a lovely walk before work. Things are a little busy in work at the moment so my walk helped clear my head before the daily grind

Hi Steve yes it is Burham on Sea Lighthouse

Being woken up by the alarm clock at 05:45. Might sound odd but it's rare that I sleep through to the beeping! The current sunshine is quite cheering as well but the big black cloud creeping in from the West will soon put an end to that, I fear. :(

Boss has bought his dogs in for the rest of the day.....yeay!

Watching a sheep giving birth when I pulled up in the van, farmer was there too so had a chat, what a magical moment :)

technically speak yesterday. was shooting at an event, one of the guests with a film camera came up to me saying "dont you think film is a more authentic way to capture photos" (or something similar, probably trying to start an argument) so I said yes, agreed with him and that shut him down immediately :ROFLMAO: i agreed with him some more saying I have no alternatives but to shoot digital when doing paid jobs, as film is too expensive etc... i think i made a new friend :D

Hi Steve yes it is Burham on Sea Lighthouse

I went to visit a friend in Burnham on Sea a couple of years ago and walked out to the lighthouse to have a look. On the way back I walked round most of the town looking for a public toilet. All three I found were closed. Apparently, they all close at 5:00. I ended up using the one in Wetherspoons. As I walked out, I noticed all of the mud on my shoes and I realised I must have left footprints up and down their carpeted stairs... that cheered me up!

Steve.

Finding a decent, sturdy, relatively lightweight, hardwood bench for Mrs Nod's birthday. Walked into the garden centre, spotted it, got a passing assistant to get a boxed one from the storeroom, paid and were out of there in 5 minutes flat! Swiftly erected and in place. Now raining but that's just a seasonal problem, nothing to get annoyed about.

Wcmut election results

Seeing a idiot on a pushbike going waaayyy too fast down a single track road having to choose either hit my car or meet the hedge :ROFLMAO:

That @rse Galloway getting humped.

I love the smell of R - it reminds me of when sex was safe and motorsport was dangerous!

More R and following a pair of racing cars back along the A3052! (Oh, and despite them both being driven by Grandfatherly gentlemen, both kept to the assorted limits all the way.)

"R" ?

The smell of real motorsport!!!

Watching Clive James on the BAFTAs. Brought a tear to me eyes. He's still funny :)

New MOT and tax on the Triumph - and a sunny day! Needed a new rear tyre but I knew that anyway. Cheeky gits gave me an advisory for a noisy exhaust! It was them that sold me the bike with that exhaust fitted! Besides,

Picking up (probably) the last pair of size 10 North Face Hedgehog IV GTX shoes in estate/cosmic blue in the country. Retail price, £110, outlet price £74. OK, I had to drive 100 miles or so to collect them but I still reckon it was worth it! (Despite the comment in the WAMT thread.)
