WCMUT....what cheered me up today

What cheered me up today.

Two things. My new car is ready for delivery soon and they've just serviced it for me. Just awaiting for the dvla to transfer the plate over. Bans nearly over too ;)

Had a lovely weekend in Leeds seeing a mate. Epic eating out and good to see him. Whilst I enjoyed the virgin Pendilino train immensely I'll be much happier driving, and it's not long now ;)
 
My friends' son and his fiancee winning an Aston Martin DB8 (and a £10,000 cheque in the boot), through Best of the Best, just a few days before their wedding.
They even did the presentation out in South Africa (where they are for the wedding & honeymoon)

Although they (he especially :lol: ) love the car, they've accepted the cash alternative of £72k
For them, instead of returning to the UK and living with the in-laws for a while, they now have and £82k deposit to begin their house hunt.
Chuffed to bits for them! :-)
 
Done a preliminary set of A4 prints from the Iceland trip and there seem to be a fair few good one among them worth the extra effort of A3+ing.

Got 8 or so 3-21 shot pans to stitch if I can find the software I have loaded!
 
Wcmut: My hotel room telly hasn't just got AirPlay built in, it also supports Miracast. Brilliant setup, absolutely fantastic if it had a surround sound system as well.
 
Bit overkill for Debbie Does Dallas though! ;)

More like Debbie does Westminster. The remake is in HD and streaming the bluray ISO from my laptop works very well.

Lol no not really my kind of brand nor the travel lodge. However for London prices it is actually priced not much different, just need to know how to shop :) it's also got a gorgeous house dog called Waggers.
 
Beer battered cod and twice cooked chips for me and the boys, the Mrs is away, she's on a low fat diet and not that fond of fish, we're 'making hay'

I had a small portion. :)
 
2 things which are yet to happen... the weather forecast to be correct (slightly cool but fine) and fish and chips for lunch. I'm expecting the thing after lunch to be frustrating but am hoping it's not too annoying.
 
Having the reds at Escot to ourselves for an hour or so. Shame there wasn't much light but there was plenty for the Mk 1 eyeballs.
 
Went for my first long walk round the area since moving here in January. Went with my neighbour, and very pleasant it was too.

All fields, woods, ponds and streams.

Marvellous.

What constitutes a few weeks? I would say this is now several weeks later and it's still going strong. Yes, a few of the earliest flowers have fallen off but it's still CMU every day!

Being home again! No more white line fever. Glad I won't need to do that trip in the s***box again, although it'll be ideal for town use.

POETS day? and its not even Friday? Pah! its all right for some!

WCMUT? Getting back to my favourite burger bar, before he buggered off, like he did yesterday.
You can't beat coffee out of a polystyrene mug and dozens of rashers of crispy bacon in a huge bap.
That was 3 quid well spent :thumbs:
