WCMUT....what cheered me up today

Found out yesterday that on boxing day my ex-wives partner packed his bag and walked out on her after being together for 20 years.

You may wonder why that cheered me up ... well her partner was my friend 20 years ago and she did exactly the same to me just after Xmas having been seeing him for a few months previous.

They definitely did me a favour (although I didn't see it like that at the time) but as the old saying goes ....What goes around comes around .... (y)

well her partner was my friend 20 years ago
A mate of mine's wife walked out on him, with his best mate a few years ago now,
but as he said at the time, he was "gutted" and "have you any idea how hard "Best friends" are to come by"?

getting round in the ice and fog safely this morning, but , got to go back out in a mo and do afternoon collections :(
roll on next week, someone else is being trained (y)

A nice stroll along the sea front down at Exmouth. Well, I assume the sea was there - too foggy to see it! Burger and chips for lunch was nice too.

WCMUT?
My week-end starts here (y)

Even better than that, the next week-end also starts here :woot:

Haven't you been skiving off all week ?

Ok so an addition to my earlier post, made it round in the dark, in thick freeing fog, but did manage to get locked in an industrial park,
sorry peeps I escaped

You went to the seaside and had BURGER and chips? [emoji15]

Yup, the chippy on the sea front may have been using the same frying medium for the last decade or so - sure smells like it when you walk past! The Ocean Burger in the (oddly enough!) Ocean place (looks soulless but the food and staff are great!) is delicious.

Making animated gifs from layers is fun.

They pass beer crates up to you to see how high you can stack them. It's free beer advertising really.

Picked the Bonnie up in a non drizzling time slot. Now too wet to go out and enjoy it so it's under its cover until the roads are dry and riding will be fun!

Dry roads so took the Bonnie out for a spin with Mrs Nod on the back. Went round the block solo as well but didn't quite nudge it over 1,000 miles!

No. He had a car that he came down the hill IN (not on!)

Actually, he may have had one of the bikes as well - its roar was heard throughout the land IIRC. (That would have been the Speedmaster with its rorty pipes rather than the relatively quiet Bonnie.)

Ringing Whipsnade to complain that I hadn't had a renewal reminder and getting a fellowship membership.
As I normally have someone with me when I go in that's going to be a good deal

Excellent (y)

( But it seems they are letting anyone join that "club" now :( :p )

It's been going downhill ever since they let you join :p:wave:

FTFY!

Hope you all have a great day and that the weather stays bright, if a touch chilly!

Can't see what that has to do with Fellowship of ZSL but what ever
Wow. I don't know what the ZSL is, but if black vans or helicopters with big letters ZSL on the side turned up, and you marched in, in shades, in showing your ZSL card, saying "nobody move. Please do what the fellowship members say". I'd think it's some mix of Men in Black, Lord of the rings and Vicar of Dibbley, all rolled into one blockbuster movie.

Not Men In Black, but definitely Lord of the the Rings, with me being vertically challenged, and yep a bit Vicar of Dibley without the religion, but I am a dizzy blonde :D

You forgot the funny hand shake :D

At least I joined when a scientific degree + 3 years membership was mandatory, now they just let any old riff raff in with just 3 years service :p

Discovering that the pub we picked for the view it offered did delicious food, excellent desserts and friendly service. Thumbs up for the Anchor in Beer. Lovely rump steak for me and plenty of other choices, including several veggie options for those so inclined. We shared a pud and both felt that that was enough of a good thing! Decent coffee too.

Cheered me up enough for the slight annoyance of a diversion that made getting to Branscombe awkward to not annoy me.

Called into my local coffe shop this morning and joined the queue, ahead of me was a little old lady and, being served was a group of schoolchildren.
On paying, the schoolchild had pound coins and found 2 full loyalty cards for a free drink in his wallet.
He paid for his cold drink and then gave the little lady his 2 full loyalty cards, saying "have this and your next one one me"
Actually took me by surprise.
Well done young man.

I realised today that, for the last 2 weeks I've been cycling to work 1 inch above the road. Isn't that amazing? Do I have a hover-bike I hear you ask? No. I put helium in the bike tyres. No, not that either. We've had deep packed snow on the roads for some time. And it's not going away soon. But I like to amuse myself as I cycle along.

WCMUT? Firstly, a glorious sunrise and then a trip down to Dartmoor Zoo to see their new Cheetahs - in glorious sunshine! A bit chilly and rather harsh light for photography but still good to get down there and see them.

Cheesed off to say the least. I had some stuff to print off from a course I did 3yrs ago at work. Basically write up brief reports on repairing electrics as and when I did it as a log book. I've been putting it off for a while, but finally decided to print it off today ready to hand in tomorrow, it's not on my laptop nor is it on my external hard drive where I had a back up copy stored.
Back to work today and went to copy someone else's work off the computer that's been saved on one of the drives from years ago, so I didn't have to rewrite everything from scratch. Opened up the file and found all my work instead. Don't remember copying it onto the work PC, but guess I must have done. Just need to proof read it and print it off now. Happy Days. ;)

Not having to go to work until 1st Feb, time to dust off the camera :D:banana:

If I could remember what the words meant, I might be able to agree with you. :)
I still can't fathom how it got onto the work PC, nor why it was no longer on my laptop or the back up hard drive.
