A couple of things baffle me today (OK, life in general does!!!)
Firstly, this young lady who can do 6 drawings at once (well, I suppose she only does 4 at exactly the same time) - I can barely draw the curtains! https://www.youtube.com/user/rajacenna
and secondly, why a pack of red peppercorns bears a warning that they may contain traces of nuts, gluten and dairy.

I'll try many things but that doesn't appeal to me at all! Not sure that the orange slime even counts as cheese!!! Despite my horrendously sweet tooth, I find Creme Eggs too sickly. Could be tempted to try a deep fried Curly Wurly though.

And that chippy is run by a Polish family, It seems deep frying chocolate has finally gone international, the Scots certainly have something to be ashamed of

haha, I bet the NHS can't wait for the incoming aftermath!
I was at the Scotland v Spain game last night and as I looked around I thought my God a lot of people are overweight, as they shoved junked food into their holes. I could help but think of the strain this must put on the NHS.
Great game though, hammered the Spanish despite their theatrics, fouling and whinging.

Yesterday, my wife was at a petrol station and tried to manoeuvre round a van but somehow caught a post which caused a dent in the rear nearside door panel and the part of the sill under it. A local panel beater said it woud cost £800-1000 to rectify so we'll claim on the insurance. It's her first claim ever. She spoke to a very pleasant and empathetic lady in the claims department who got her to download an App . It's like the one surgeries send when you first call to see as doctor and they want a photo if it's a visible injury or swelling.
They required a photo of the damage straight on and at an angle. Then an image shows on the iPhone screen showing what part of the car they want a photo of. Photos of the front offside and nearside, separately, at an angle. The same for the rear. Then the VIN number under the bonnet and a photo of the mileage taken with the engine running. That wasn't possible. As soon as the engine started the mileage disappeared so we settled for doing it with the ignition on, even then we had to be quick. It's amazing how difficult it is trying to get the iPhone between the column of the steering wheel and the facia .I'm at a loss..ie' baffled'.. as to why they need all that. It won't be collected until April 23rd and could take three weeks. We get a courtesy car in the meantime. Her NCB is protected at maximum but no doubt the premiuim will increase next year. She'd just renewed last week it so we'll get a full year's motoring before the renewal and see what it is.

I think there would be but that meant getting out the manual. We weren't in the frame of mind to do that and we saw the mileage stayed on for a few seconds after we turned the ignition on so my wife got the mobile ready in place and I turned on the ignition
I was more interested, though, if anyone knew why we had to take all those photos not relevant to the damage and the mileage. I suppose they want to confirm the VIN matches the registration.They have the car details, they know what we've got. Seems a bit OTT to me.

Watching Blue Lights, a new police drama set in Northern Ireland. Just finished episode 3, but the next one is episode 5 (Sky Q). Had a look on Sky Go on my laptop and only episodes 1,2,3,5 & 6 are available. It's not a major problem as we can get it on iPlayer, but why?

I held a slice ( Hovis white) up to the light and I could see through it & see the actual structure of it

We have one, although it's been put away in storage as we have too much going on, but the bread is a world of difference from the supermarket and the smell... Lovely!

We have had several bread machines over the last 12 years or so. We rarely buy 'shop' bread these days apart from when we are away in our motorhome. Even I can make a loaf with the bread maker..... & my cooking skills barely extend as far as boiling an egg.....

My wife needs antibiotics for a cut to her finger that's become infected. Really painful when she catches it on anything so she called the surgery at 9.20 this morning thinking the 'rush' from 8.30 would be over. All she'd have to do was to send a photo of it and a doctor would assess it and prescribe the antibiotics which is eventually what happened. The messsage on the appointment line said " You are over 30 in the queue" . Same at 9.50 so she went to the supermarket and I kept the line open. She returned from the supermarket to find she was down to 14th in the queue at 10.40am.The call was answered at 11.10. so 1hr 50 mins. It never used to be like this,the wait used to be maximum 20 minutes and I'm baffled as to why waiting times on calls has become so long. Seems, from radio phone-ins, that it's the same nationwide. Employ more receptionists maybe ?

Same situation for me down in Kent. What is strange, is that our waiting room at the surgery used to be full of around thirty patients pre-Covid. A few weeks ago, I had to wait in a queue of around thirty people, whilst there were only two people waiting to see a doctor. I actually have not seen my own GP since 2018. There is something very wrong about all this.

They are short of doctors around here. One of our local practices recently lost 6 doctors, and my GP has become a private GP. We seem to get a lot of locums. It's all going to pot.

Mr. Bebop was resistant to us having another gadget in the kitchen, but during lockdown I managed to persuade him and bought a bread machine (it was a nail biting heart thumping moment trying to get it into my basket and paid for before anyone else got itFair points, perhaps I should investigate
I still didn't manage the model wanted! ). Three years on I have not bought a single loaf. It is so easy to keep the ingredients in the cupboard - they last a long time, and then the bread is so much nicer. I recently heard a chap on either Five Live or LBC say he had to cross to the mainland Southampton, I assume.. to get dental treatment as there weren't any NHS dentists on the island. He was really suffering,too. I don't know what the situation re dentists is over there but that's what he had to do.

When I make bread, my wife calls it "slimming bread", because she is lighter over the course of a week. The homemade bread never goes mouldy and lasts a long time.

Seriously, that is interesting because I don’t think mine lasts as well as shop bought due to no preservatives. I think it can help you feel full, although that’s probably the fat we spread on it too… there’s a very interesting podcast on fats too!My favourite bread is a mixed rye and wholemeal flour one. It’s not the favourite of my family though, so I slice it, weave grease proof paper between the slices and then freeze it. I can easily pull a slice out when I want, and one is enough for me as it’s so heavy.
Yep, NHS dentists situation is bad. I had one and I’m afraid didn’t go back after a poor experience. He was a replacement for my retired and very competent one.

In films and dramas on TV we sometimes see through a camera viewfinder and often it's obviously and clearly a modern AF camera but what we see when they show us the view through the VF is a view you'd see from a manual focus camera from years before, sometimes a split prism.

Another thing is that the camera is sometimes clearly an entry level camera with the kit lens but when we see the shot it can't have been taken with that lens because it's clearly been taken with a long lens or it has narrow DoF, or both.
