WBMT.....What baffled me today

If you didn't read the books the films are fine. It's only those that read the books would know that and that's a minority of the film watchers. Cruise did two films so can't be that bothered by it.

The actor in the Amazon.series may of fit the description but his acting was lacking, quite wooden

I can't disagree with any of that, TBH.

Forgot about them, a Facebook ban isn’t always a bad thing mind you.
I've never had a farcebook ban.

I think that might be because I've never joined it....

:naughty:

My son came with me to see Reacher at the cinema when it was first out and he was also unimpressed and has never read a Jack Reacher Book. Yes it was Amazon and the actor Alan Ritchson was a bit wooden but this was fine given the role. You don't need the skills of Laurence Olivier to play this part. The ideal needs to be as aggressive and unmoving as Clint Eastwood but as big as Clint Walker and much younger than either. I understand Amazon are producing more series so Alan Ritchson will improve but the key issue is that I felt I was watching Jack Reacher.

I suppose we will find out as more series come out, but is this acting a bit wooden or is he acting the part.

Im not expecting oscar winning performance but just some fluidness. Level of aggression and logical thinking are the basis of the books, to me it felt that there was a pause before simple actions that didnt need to be there.

There were far more parts to the films that annoyed me than the height or build of Tom Cruise but I like things to be plausible not farcical.
Top Gun was based solely on the ability of the planes and while some of the gun camera footage that was cut in was a bit average there was nothing scifi about the flying.
Top Gun: Maverick was just ridiculous and beyond any sort of reality

I’m happier to go watch Tom Cruse turn out for Edinburgh Rugby.

We also have Wes ‘the goose’ Goosen in the team.

I see that the winter solstice is off to a good start, with the longer days.
Heavy cloud cover, drizzling and it almost dark ( 15:35 )

I've had a WhatsApp account for a few years, just family and a handful of close friends.
Today I got a message from a business account " hi Jeff, it's Caroline, this is my new number"
Being forever helpful. Replied I'm not Jeff, as it may have been important.

I got a reply, "What's your name?"
/ Blocked.
Before I did, I checked the profile picture,
It was one of those white skinned porcelain looking Asian girls.
That was my first ever scam / phishing messages.

When fiction becomes reality ..

A drunk passenger stole a bus in Milton Keynes this evening before colliding with 'numerous other vehicles'.
Police were called to Central Milton Keynes this evening (23/1) after a bus was stolen by a drunken passenger.

Thankfully no one was hurt, but several cars were damaged.

WBMT....Scotland.

Out early this morning in the fog with the camera.
People I passed kept saying that it wasn't good weather for photography until I showed them some of the pictures,
foggy reflections in a glass lake.
Next comment as ever was that usual one about have a good camera

Too soon to say Scotland again?...

WBMT?
Armed with a basket of shopping, mostly "crushables" and a bag of spuds.
The spuds were at the front of the basket, with the top very prominent.
What does dopey draws do? reach across and start handing me the crushables first

Just to add this is the same person that managed to ring up 6 cucumbers sometime go, when I'd not bought a single one...

I pay £32 to BT for their services, I have just learned that is to increase by £4.68,
Citing inflation as the cause.

I wasn't aware that inflation was running at over 12%

Don’t forget the headline RPI/PI etc are averages, we are seeing a lot of 20%+ price increases on items from the USA at work at the moment….not entirely sure how it applies to data running through 40 year old copper wires mind…

oh wow we are with BT as well better check ours too

I'm with BT and my prices are going up, which is rather annoying considering how slow their internet is compared to Virgin. If the latter hadn't been so unreliable and have such God awful customer service agents I would consider going back to them because the BT full fibre is taking ages to come online.

I can see that those could work. Worth a try anyway!

! ... and the same goes for chocolate or apple and cinnamon flavoured ones.
Apple and cinnamon hot cross buns are the work of the devil.

The wife and I are putting in our applications to join the local coven in appreciation. :naughty: :exit:
