WBMT.....What baffled me today

This appeared on my FB suggested sale items.
Seriously?
I don't even have a cat and I've never looked at anything cat related.

Algorithms "rule"..........and I surmise they have analysed you as someone to target, should you get a cat and want bling it's rear end.

Now if they could come up with a 100% guaranteed method of stopping the little 'darlings' pooping in our garden like they own the place, that I would be interested in

Wow that’s just wrong
No self respecting moggie would wear that

No proper cat would have that on for more than a nanosecond ... if at all!
I'm not a cat person, but I suggest that any owner that does that to their cat shouldn't be allowed a cat!

And even if you could get a cat to wear it, who's going to want to wipe it clean every time the cat craps?

Yes agree poor little b****r won’t be able to use the tray properly

BT yet again
Apparently the fastest way to get a response to a phone or BB issue is to text help to the number supplied.
Yet again, I had several drop off's this morning, in the space of 2 hours.
Normally my BB is around 33mbs & 6.7mbs.
following the drop offs it was 11mbs & 3mbs.
I text help to number, and the response was "its all fine, it must be your internal wiring" ( this was all renewed a few months ago)

A speed test about half an hour later shows 37mbs ( it shouldn't be that high 35mbs max according to the engineer I was talking to, while he replaced all the internal wiring. )
and up 6.7mbs.

Curiously this is the second time in recent months
I have had to text "help"
The second time I was told there was no external problem
The second time it "sorted itself out" about half an hour later ;)

To be fair an advisor did phone me, stock answer, "someone was probably working in your area this morning.
Causing some minor disruption" :D

The man at the front... actually said 'You could have stopped and told us you weren't a petrol tanker,"

I almost sprayed a mouthful of coffee over the computer screen while reading that bit in the article.

However, I think it sums up our current 'snowflake society' to a tee, it's always got to be someone else's fault! Some people just don't seem able to accept responsibility for their own actions and admit they've been a muppet!

It certainly made me laugh...... .more so was what made the other 19 cars join the queue and become a 'convoy' ?

Though the driver raised an interesting point about fuel tanker drivers default position of being followed is to contact the police! So in some respects folk following a tanker is a serious matter.

If I had a motor caravan, I'd make sure the Diesel tank and the waste water (etc.!!!) tanks' labels were switched round and I'd leave a syphon tube handy...

Well, that would sort the wheat from the chaff ;)

How we respond to petrol crises:

20 years ago we car shared, only made essential journeys.

Nowdays we follow cement lorries :D:D

What like this bloke you mean?

Bearing in mind the chemicals in such toilets...... I wonder if he also had burns to go with the other side effects?

PS also from the article
"The wood be fuel thief opened up, what he thought, was the fuel cap and entered the tube and began to inhale to create enough suction "
The typo is a hoot.........perhaps the thief was looking for fertiliser, to aid his wooden performance ;)

That has actually happened as reported on the Darwin Awards website, when a thief attempted to syphon what he thought was fuel and in fact was the waste tank. The owner declined to press charges regarding theft as he found the situation highly amusing.

On a more serious note, thieves are now drilling through fuel tanks to steal the contents - source Yahoo News https://uk.news.yahoo.com/petrol-stolen-car-fuel-crisis-ford-fiesta-112300862.html

Re the petrol theft. Déjà Vu 2012. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2083345/The-menace-gangs-using-drills-plunder-petrol.html

Even before that, people were using a far quicker and quieter method, targeting vehicles with plastic tanks.

if you were planning to nick fuel would you not get a syphone kit? my fish tank had what was basically a dust blower mounted inline with the tube couple of squeezes got it flowing without needing a mouthfull of water

Don't most modern cars have syphon blocking filters in their fuel pipes?

That was my understanding too

My Kuga apparently does, I wondered about why it has no cap on the nozzle entry nor a locking body cover.

However, in the emergency kit is a tube to use when putting in fuel from a can. The tube is designed to push past whatever is in the filler pipe, so unless there is another anti theft component beyond that point what happens if the fuel thief has a similar 'tube'???

The tube is designed to push past whatever is in the filler pipe,
I'm not sure how they work tbh, but a perforated filter of some kind at the bottom of the filler hose but just above the tank allows fuel through, but not allowing a tube into the tank

Now, that would make sense when combined with the capless filler point and the body cover without a lock etc. :)

We have one of those little funnels with our Fiesta. When it is in place I still cannot put a tube through to get some fuel for my 'bike!

That seems to confirm @Cobra supposition :D

i believe that was the case but in the report the guy was using a pipe and his mouth

This probably won't work, but what the hell...

I was watching a door camera video earlier, on my local community page.
3 guys / lads pulled up next to a van, timed at 20:21 hrs.
It was a car derived van with a sliding side door,
They forced in a jemmy bar bent the top of the door out,
one lad jumped up on the roof and forced the door even further outwards, with his feet, he then slid inside
and handed out what was probably a power tool, in its case.
All done and dusted in less than a minute

Surely the creaking of metal would have given all this away.
But I guess the neighbors didn't want to get involved ..

If there was a WSMT....What surprised me today thread I'd have posted it there but this is the nearest option.

My wife recently had an MRI scan on her hip because she's been having jabs of pain. She contacted her private health care company and they arranged for her to have an MRI scan. She was expecting a phone call tomorrow to tell her what the result was but a doctor,I assume employed by the company, has just telephoned now. It's 11.38 PM...she was asleep..

Seems she's torn a muscle, no doubt at the gym or swimming, and is being referred to a consultant. I suppose the tear might need 'sewing' up.

Mrs WW chats a lot with her mates back in Thailand. One of them "A" constantly complains about another one "B." These two aren't friends but "A" keeps looking at B's social media posts and complaining about the wannabe celebrity style posed photos she posts and she's done it again today, B posted a picture of herself that really set A off.

I don't know why A does this. I don't know why A keeps looking at B's social media posts as she clearly doesn't like her. I said it's like A wants to keep punching herself in the face. They're both stunning so I don't think it's jealousy over looks thing but for some reason A just dislikes these photos B posts.

Why keep looking at the social media page of someone you don't like? Maybe it's a woman thing :D

Google would probably tell you - if you dare!

Great minds or fools?
