WBMT.....What baffled me today

Why does a dog hump a leg / piece of furniture or my granddaughters extremely large toy bear?
Spring is in the air (y)
:D

Lol. Ok. Looks like that‘s what it was, then. I’ve checked several times and the frog hasn’t done it since but I did give it a ticking off so maybe that did the trick. :)

WBM(Yesterday):
The guy shopping in the supermarket with two wads of cotton wool stuffed up his nostrils...
Any pencils?

My son & his girlfriend ordered several rolls of wallpaper from Amazon. When they arrived they were amazed to find each roll came in its own oversized cardboard box......

Well done Amazon, for giving us a laugh.....

Why when everyone is moaning about being stuck inside and needing fresh air are most of windows shut round here.
It's not noisy, weather has been mild and sunny

The reduction in background noise around here is noticeable - very few vehicles on the road, virtually no aeroplanes in the sky, fewer trains - very quiet and have to save welcome too.

WBMT?
Well actually Yesterday, there was a few comings and goings with cars,
Its usually fairly quiet here anyway..
I think someone was having a party, ( it smelled like a BBQ) and now there are 3 strange cars parked in the road, quite close to me.
Maybe a sleep over?
Seriously people WTF?

I hear the cops will come round to break such gatherings up if they get a report.
Assuming you couldn't tell exactly where it was?

Unfortunately not.
It wasn't far away but I couldn't pin it down. There wasn't even a plume of smoke from the BBQ, like there is most times.

Perhaps the police need to deploy a drone to sneak a peek....as long as they don't upset people by posting it on social media.

Perhaps the coordinates could be used to deploy a Reaper Drone. A single Hellfire missile should terminate both the BBQ and the likelihood of anything being posted on social media.

Yes it’s frustrating and the government will now have to bring more restrictions because of selfish people

We had a couple of strange cars turn up yesterday and park on our stretch of the road. One has left at some point this morning, but the other is still there. Most of our neighbours seem to be observing the lockdown

They are threatening to stop people from exercising outside of the homes.

They need to shoot a few of the morons that will possibly get this new measure enforced or give them big fines,
Catching them is the problem though not enough police.

Didn’t know that but I can understand why as some people just are not doing the right thing

The person who fly tipped across the road from our house a couple of days ago.

It appeared sometime between about 10pm one evening and 5:45am the next morning when I took the dog out.

What puzzled me was the nature and the amount - about six cardboard boxes and the largest one was about big enough to hold a large saucepan.

Why bother coming somewhere late at night (or early in the morning) to fly tip something you could put in your bin?

Probably no room in their bin and the council waste disposal centres are probably closed? I know ours is, so I have over a dozen bin bags of garden waste stacked up against the outside wall of my garage! It will take about 10 weeks to get rid of in the brown recycling wheelie bin. I though this situation would lead to people fly tipping, and I've seen some evidence of it in the countryside adjacent my local town. Some people are just so selfish and inconsiderate.

We're lucky - our council are still collecting the brown bins (and took a neighbour's extra bags on Tuesday). How long they'll keep collecting the brown bins remains to be seen...

I had a freezer delivered (under counter one, our existing one broke) in a big cardboard box, placed it (the empty box) behind our bins and the council guys took all our rubbish and the cardboard (which was handy as the local skip/dump is closed), only put it there to get it out of the house.

Not really that baffling TBH ..
To those that insist on driving down the outside lane even though there is nothing else in sight,
to those that still insist of accelerating when being over taken,
to those that still pull out right in front of me, and yet there is nothing in sight behind me,
to one and all, I say bless you my children and may your God go with you (y)

...or, in the absence of he, she or it: Mr Dave Allen. :naughty:

I was working around the Fens area today, and there are a few of these little cottage gardeners that sell produce from their err gardens.
Usual stuff, fruit & veg typically ...

I saw a big notice for "range eggs" well curiosity got the better of me so I stopped to take a look.
Hmmm they look like regular eggs to me.
So I loaded a couple of trays into the van.
As pulled away, a guy comes running out waving his arms and shouting.
It seems that they aren't actually free range eggs after all :(

That's nothing. I was walking past a poultry farm the other day (on my once daily allowed exercise - to keep it topical!) and saw a big sign that said Duck Eggs... as I stood there contemplating a purchase I was hit full in the face by an egg, and the farmer shouted "I did warn you!"

:giggle: :coat:

A few days a go my heart shaped fatball feeder disappeared from the trellis it has been hanging on since last autumn
No sign of it anywhere, just the top cover on the ground
I do have foxes that visit every night, but have never taken any interest in it
A couple of days later it turned up under the hedge, which is accessible from a footpath, totally undamaged but minus
the fatballs
So last night I refilled it and tied it to the trellis, set up the trailcam and left it.
This morning it's still there and the trailcam footage showed it was indeed a fox that had taken it, tried again last night
but couldn't get it to break free.
I am wondering whether it's to do with the lockdown and the lack of leftover takeaways etc, staple diet for urban foxes.
They had been eating the hedgehog food over the last few weeks, I tend to scatter it in the grass, so the foxes were finding
it and eating the lot.

Almost certainly. Rats are changing behaviour too.

In what way ?
thankfully don't see many rats round here although there are bound to be some, not caught any on the trailcam

I should have said, it's being reported.

It seems they are being found more in homes and have increased cannibalistic behaviour.

Just did a search, hope those who panic bought have their supplies safely packed a way !!!

I rather hope they haven't!!!

So mcDonalds are reopening some stores with reiki we only. Why? Now I admit to living in the sticks and in my 40s but who would get this delivered. I can understand Indian or Chinese as these retain heat, can be reheated and do not really suffer from being delivered. But how will this stay warm and won’t the chips be lukewarm and soggy???

Having not set foot in one since July 1982 (Sunday night, emergency in Odense, Denmark), I don't feel like I'm missing out...

The only times I can remember setting foot in a MuckDonuts this century was to use their karzi (after purchasing a thick shake) in Rhodes town. We'd parked outside to make it easy to find the car and Greek public bogs tend towards the basic side (you're lucky to get one out of lock, seat and paper!) while Mucks***houses are comparatively luxurious with all 3! That was in 2000 IIRC.
