:D It's wet and windy here in Whitby today, so I thought I would utalise the campsites Caraweb services.

 Hello from my tent in the middle of a field in Whitby!

The couple in the tent next door to us were kicked off site last night for having a domestic :suspect:

... What does one do when it rains while camping? I can't go out on my scooter in the rain. Anyone know of any good indoor activities around the Whitby area that would be suitable for a scooter user? Before you say, I'm bored of certain activities ;)

:wave:Only been to Whitby once so cant help I'm afraid, but theres always the pub:thumbs:

We are pitched right next to the pub on the site

Dave they actually came to fisticuffs

Guys, is it bad that we were up at 8.00am, and Chris has been taking this long to cook breakfast? :/ He went to get some pegs to peg a sheet to the awning to stop the sideways rain from wetting the cooker, and then ...ugh. I can only just smell the bacon cooking  The sausages aren't even brown yet and the bacon is cooked! MEN!

Hope you managed to have a good day after all Jo :)

Hope you enjoyed your day. I love being cosy and warm in a tent while listening to the patter of rain outside. Bliss.

wayhay.
were going to Whitby in October.
were NOT camping though.

Our first experience at camping put us off for life, on our first night in Wales we got soaked after having picked the spot that flooded during the night, b&b the next few nights and off back home !!.

weve done a fair bit of camping in the past at bike rallys.
had some great times, but of course the company is important.
ive had some of the most surreal, 3AM converstions about absolute boll..... at bike rallys.
but were getting older.
the Whitby trip is going to be in a hotel.
if we can bloody find one.
were shooting a goth wedding at the WGW.
looks like we might have to stay outside Whitby.
got the tickets for the Spa pavilion gigs friday and saturday nights though.
incidentaly, we bought a brand new tent two years ago, especialy for rallying.
not been out of its bag yet.

We had a half decent late afternoon/evening in the end:) I am sat here uploading some shots from Saltburn with a nice glass of wine :D

Missed an amazing sunset on the way back to the tent as there was no time to stop, else we wouldn't have been back on site in time for the fish and chips cooked in beer batter that Chris wanted so desperately

Now on to the third night of going to sleep whilst listening to a family of Little Owls screeching the night away  That's if Chris manages to reinflate the air bed while in fits of beer induced giggles!

Thanks for those links btw Dave, if it rains again tomorrow they may come in useful ;)

Yum the fish and chips cooked in beer batter, bet it fresh and caught today

2 of the buildings look photogenic,

shame you missed the sunset ah well theres always tomorrow, hope its cleared up now the forecast said it had past over now into the north sea, you can prob get some sleep tonight now as your lovely neighbours have gone ;)
