waterproof jacket

I've got a couple of Jack Pyke jackets that seem to be good value.

How much do you want to spend and what are you going to use it for?

I have a lightweight Berghaus goretex jacket, wind proof and waterproof which cost £100

If its cold a micro fleece or a medium weight fleece go on under it

Simple, non restrictive, breathable and works

love my paramo halcyon. loads of large pockets, inside and out. paramo have an ebay shop where you can get an occasional bargain.

I have an Arc'teryx Theta AR jacket and it's a lovely but expensive piece. You'll want something that has articulated arms so that it doesn't ride up when panning.

I have one of those. Weatherproof and very good at avoiding condensation. Tailoring is not that great - tends to slip off my shoulders.

As said, it depends on your budget.

Can't go wrong with Berghaus and Gore-Tex.

They are a very large cut. I ordered from ebay and the xl is very large. Need that size to allow a down jacket underneath during winter (i.e. tonight when i went out only to find a light cloud....)

paramo excellent gear have several of the jackets etc from the paramo range
