Hi Guys,

Just trying to get some piece of advice.
I have my photo-passion SLR Camera, but you guys may agree that sometimes having something in your pocket to take that quick shot is a must, specially when you go holidays or just wondering about, an ultra-compact.
For that purpose I use my wife's ultra-compact camera, a flashy pink Canon :) that pink colour doesn't look too good on me :)

So this year, with some summer holidays approaching I thought about buying me a present and get something that would fit the purpose of everyday life photos but would also take some shots and videos underwater.

After some investigation, I'm about to commit to a Nikon AW130 but would like to get some feedback from users. I believe it must be ok in terms of waterproofing and Shock resistance but how about image quality? and usability?

Any feedback would be welcome.

I have the previous model AW110 which I like had it a few years now and not had any problems. Use it a fair amount when I go kayaking, and on holiday for beach and pool shoots, I had a Panasonic FT1 before which I also liked but when I needed to replace after quite a few years service the Nikon was on offer and went for that. Picture quality is great, as is battery life. The only time that I felt if drain quickly when I had the tracking on when it recorded where I had been but just having the GPS on so it records details where the photo where taken is fine and is reasonably accurate.

Thanks Alan for your feedback, I'll probably buy the AW130 for this Holidays
