Hi all does any one no how to get the settings for watermarking on the canon eos 550d

Thanks barry

From a very quick search, it doesn't look like you can add a watermark in camera, so you'd need to do it during post process using something like the Canon editing software that came with your camera.

ETA: a quick tutorial for you using said software http://www.eos550d.com/2010/07/simple-watermarking/

Hi Barry & Welcome

As above, using the Canon software enables a simple watermark to be added, you can do similar with Photoshop elements as well

You can also add your details to the EXiF data - if you connect your camera to your PC, you can add your details in the Canon software, this then applies it to all the shots taken with your body - they don't appear as a watermark, but are in the EXiF data.

Ya know, exif data didnt even occur to me.
I got imine setup to insert copyright info into the exif at import.

Does anyone know which part of the Canon software enables a watermark to be added ? , I have just loaded the software 7D/Mac Book Pro and noticed the EOS utilites facility is not available to me as it is not recognised on this version of the operating system .
