Make your watermark in paint/gimp or whatever and save that. You use that as the watermark for your image. Using the program linked earlier in this post you specify the image, the watermark and you're good to go. It'll do some conversion too.

there are various options including adding copyright watermark.
I have also used the Web gallery option as when you do this you can add the watermark and you get three sizes of images (in different files) so you can choose the one that suits your requirements - say a large one for the front page and the others for your gallery.
I have worked out how it is done, yet it only gives me a miniscule watermark in the bottom left hand corner, I cannot see any way of altering this, though I assume there is?
