Hi folks. I've decided to update my watermark as felt it was a little dated and looked a bit rubbish to be honest. Would like some feedback to see what people think of the new one. I've tried to keep it relatively subtle but still relevant with my details on. Thanks :-)

Old

New

Thanks

Afraid it just looks like a scrawl to me.. Just blends into itself... Can't read it easily...

Old one is more legible, less intrusive and is related to your branding (in that it's your logo).

The new one is difficult to read, has no tie-in with your branding on your website (can't see that font being used anywhere). It also looks more dated, the faux handwriting font and drop shadow are very 90s.

not really a watermark is it? As in, would be dead easy to remove using a crop or some sort of editing software....

i.e. Less than 10 secs to remove - yes not the best removal, but doubt a non togger would notice, and could do a lot better if could be bothered to... :lol:

Surely a watermark should be a slightly opaque layer repeated through an image or done in an intrusive way that makes it very difficult to remove.

Its to show my details so people know who took the picture more than anything :-) I see your point. The pictures on my website galleries are all smaller res and have a big watermark all across the front :) maybe I should label this one as an identity tag :-D

Maybe...

I saw where you were coming from as well, however distinction between www.xyz.co.uk and a watermark, hence the above

(and I couldn't resist removing it!) :lol::lol:

My honest thoughts - if it's an id tag - keep it really simple to read, as there are a lot of muppets out there who wouldn't try to read it...

:thumbs:
