HI Guys,

I had a bash at photography when I was in college had some basic kit, was on a 30D kit lens and 50mm

I sold the stuff and now i regret it as I am wanting to get back into photography, I have just purchased a NIkon D70 but I have no idea what lens fit it :thinking:

I wanted the standard kit lens 18-70

If anyone could please link me some lens on ebay, I can't access the for sale page yet, or if you do have any lens put them on ebay :)

Sorry I can't help with Nikon as I'm Canon through and through! The reason you can't access classifieds yet is because you don't meet the post count and time since joining the forum.

I'm sure someone else will chip-in on the recommended Nikon lens front & then you can scour eBay to your heart's content!

There is only one Nikon 18-70 lens so you really can't go wrong. It's a little beauty as well. Prices seem all over the place so expect to pay anything from £60 to £150 though a good one should be doable for under £100.

You could also look at the 18-135 and 18-105 VR though personally I think the 18-70 is the pick of the bunch.

Also take a look at MPB, Ffordes etc as they often have them and they'll come with a guarantee.
 
i use to have a nikon 18-70 and i regret of selling it because the lens is good, compact, light, useable range and is a nice walkaround lens.
 
Just confirming the above. the 18-70 DX lens is a little beauty for the money. Produces excellent results and a good buy second hand.
 
I picked up a 18-70 off eBay for fifty quid and can recommend it.
