Warranty Question on EU Import

Does anyone know if the warranty on a a camera purchased from an EU country would be valid in the UK.
Specifically a Fujifilm purchased from a German high street shop so presumably legitimately imported into said country.

Fuji UK are less than definite in their FAQ's so interested more in the legality of the matter with regards to EU law.
Since the recent price rises it is considerably cheaper to buy abroad, seems our prices alone have risen very sharply.

This is not a grey import query, it would be strictly above board and think i'm correct with no duty or tax payable.

Could do and yes they have been helpful in the past, but hard to prove what you are told, was hoping for something written that confirms my position.

Hoping so, think there is a way to go yet before that day certainly after any warranty I have has run out
