After a bit of advice.
Just bought a second hand Canon EOS 10D. It's 4 years old and has no outstanding warranties on it.
Is it possible to get warranties for second hand cameras and if so where from?

The best you can do is make sure it's covered on your insurance, no-one will guarantee a 4yr old camera.

If you could find someone to provide the garantee it would probably be very expensive, probably almost the cost of the camera if not more.

As steep said it's probably better getting it insured, whereas that won't cover mechanical failure it will cover the thing being run over, dropped, or otherwise destroyed (remember dropping a broken 10D or D40 off a cliff to claim on the insurance is fraud :nono:).

However, if you desperately want someone to provide you a warranty I'll do it for £25 per month (minimum term 12 months, prior to any claim the full term must be paid, replacement cameras may be not be new, any replacement camera provided is not covered by the warranty, repairs subject to 75-25 parts betterment clause - i.e. if you get a new shutter you pay 75% of the rrp of the shutter unit and the waranty will cover the labour and the remainder of the parts cost) :D ;).
