Hi,

This is just a warning for any of you peeps who work in labs, it only counts to those of you who are using Kodak paper!

Kodak have recently changed the thinckness of their 7" rolls by a tiny ammount, which is causing printing machines across the country to continually jam (mainly in the Bleach/Fix 1 racks, and occasionally in the Introducer) when printing on 7" (Namely the DKS 1550, but will probably affect some others too).

Removing the back printing ribbons does relieve this problem a bit!

If you get this problem (especially after changing a 7" roll), contact your maintenance contractors who will be able to fit a new roller comming from the 7" cassette to solve this problem

Thought I would share this with you as it gave me hell for 2 days straight!

All the best
Jym

Yep... Kodak are nice like that, even when the engineer was out on the Monday morning (after the problem starting on Saturday evening, it took him 2-3 hours to of tinkering and many phone calls before he found out too.
