Warning Graphic Picture of Matador being Gored

Some people would argue that bull fighting is cruel, yet other forms of hunting are ok, such as deer hunting, fishing, pheasant shooting... all entertainment and in many cases the animals suffer beore they die.

The only real difference is that bull fighting is done infront of hundreds of people rather than a handful of people.

That's the issues (as I see it) Other forms of hunting are are usually for the pleasure of those participating and usually the hunted has at least some chance of surviving or escaping! ... Bull fighting is for the pleasure of hundreds of others and for financial reward and serves no other purpose whatsoever! .... or entertainment if you prefer :( and the bull will be dead at the end after being cruelly tortured for as long as possible!

fishing tv shows are big business with lots of channels on cable/sky showing various people going around the world catching big game fish etc...

Yes they are! but I doubt many people watch those to see the fish suffer or the joy of the kill

Good point :)
Then again fishing isn't a blood sport so a bit of a bad link from me there.

Bull fighting is interesting though as its a very divided subject in spain, much like fox hunting here... many like it and rely on it for an income, and other hate it and want to see it all banned.

Personally i don't see the point in it, i don't like to see these sorts of sports, but then i am not spanish and have never really knwon anything about it apart from various videos i saw years ago showing how they fix the bulls to make sure they dont stand a chance.

I guess thats actually where the line is... blood sports.
Sport such as horse riding etc is seen for technical ability... but it would be a very different story if we went to watch the horse get stabbed and hacked to bits.

Get your facts, right it is happening and complying with the law of the land as it stands which is thank goodness a complete mess and allows us to still ride to the hounds and watch a couple do there job for the land owners.

Wilky

ease up tiger i didnt say i was against the hunt..

seriously though, going off topic a little, how can anyone guarantee that hunts arent happening that arent 100% within the current rules?
