Quoted verbatim from elsewhere:

WARNING for photographers... There's a massive douche on various Facebook groups trying to scam people with a cheap 5Diii and 24-70 lens (also seen offering a D800 and some Sony gear). Known aliases are Karl Ashworth, Jonny Denvort and Peter Conor. They're being offered for £900 for the camera or £1350 for the pair. Several people have sent him money via bank transfer or PayPal gift and are now dealing with the police fraud team to try and get it back. Please feel free to share this to warn others, and stay vigilante to the douchebaggery!

If anyone has had any dealings with this individual, there are a couple crime references related to this that you can add to by contacting the police.

I would never buy any expensive equipments from Facebook or eBay or even Amazon. Just reputation shops

Amazon is fine (use them direct and not a marketplace seller). I've used them for my last 4 or so lenses, and all my Sigma's qualified for the three year extended warranty from them so there's certainly no issues with Amazon. Just don't use a market place seller (though TBF most are fine).

Amazon also have much better customer service than most other retailers, and certainly High St shops. If you have a problem, even a tiny one, they'll just send you a new one or refund, even 6 months down the line.
