warm batteries.. How??

Out I decided to go and get some snow shots.Both me and Mollie appropriately dressed in warm clothing but how do keep camera and batteries warm in this weather?
My D1X wasn't keen being out and found it hard to focus and batteries kept dying on me .

and keep swapping the ones in the camera with the ones in the pocket so you get a cycle of warm batteries.

You think Eileen has gonads? Anyway, I put them in my jeans pocket before I leave which keeps them at a nice temperature.

One thing to do is to change them regular and put them somewhere warm...

A quick method was to put them in your armpit... :shake:
but a pocket close to your body will do....

Yep, as above, inside pocket / trouser pocket, where they can get some body heat

Another thing it was doing was flashing "cha" which I found out when I got home was to do with my card soallin all didnt have a very good walk out.
But batteries in pockets to keep warm on sunday and away we go

Tape one of those fisherman's chemical handwarmer sachet things to the outside of the battery compartment.
