Hi,
I ordered my lastolite hilite and train at 16:37 yesterday, 1hr 1/2 hours before the deadline for next day delivery, I also paid the extra for Saturday delivery. I waited in from 9-5 and no one turned up. Has any body had the same problem? as I have never ordered from them before, also do they send you a tracking number via email? also they said the items were in stock. Any info on them would be great thanks.
 
Yes iirc you get an email with tracking details.
 
You can log into your account on their website and it will give you the current status of your order.
 
looks like you won't get it before tuesday then - have a look at their conditions - hopefully you can get back any saturday delivery surcharge.
 
I ordered mine on Tuesday - the hilite arrived on Thursday. I rang about the train and somehow the two items had become separated during transit so I was told it would arrive on Friday. I have to ring again on Monday to see where it is... :suspect:
 
If its the first time ordering you may have to provide faxed/email proof of address to clear their security checks.

It says in the T&C's when you order about the checks.
 
LOL just got an email from them saying that all lastolite hilite are 48hr delivery, but it didn't say that no the website when I was ordering it, and it still doesn't as I have tried to order another one just to check. I paid for delivery for Saturday. I don't think I will order from them again, waste of my time.
 
I'm just about to order something from them and have now changed my mind. Thanks for the heads up :) delivery should be taken more seriously by internet firms.
 
To be fair, this is one report. Every company messes up, even the best ones - hey, even Harrods probably have the odd unhappy customer. I have had good service from them.

On the whole I believe WHEx do a good job.(In my experience, anyway.) I'm sure they cock up now and then as with any large company, but I believe cock-ups with this Company is low in comparision with doing a good job.
 
We'll see, I actually ended up ordering from them as they had a good deal going so hopefully they'll be ok. Only used them once in the past and they disappointed then also.
 
Never had any trouble with wex when they said next day it was next day :)
But like most large companies there will be cock-ups.

All arrived today bang on time, nice one :thumbs:
 
I ordered a lens from them at 17:50 on Friday and received it Saturday morning.
 
All my dealings with WEX have been excellent, I have spend thousands with them and would not hesitate at spending more with them in the future as has been said with any company mistakes happen, and also they use Parcel Force which for me has always been my preferred delivery firm.
 
Sorry to hear that your order didn't arrive as expected. From your follow-up post it seems there is a loophole in their system. My only two purchases so far from WEx were in the previous week and I needed a Custom Bracket to turn up on Saturday. The Parcelforce man arrived just before 8am. As suggested earlier, you can track your order by logging into your account and a tracking ref is always sent when your order is despatched.

Their service is good and ultra prompt from my own limited experience. If the Lastolite was on a 48hr delivery cycle they should refund the XS on your Saturday delivery. Have you spoken with them?

I had exactly the same happen to me. I ordered a roll of background paper on the Wednesday for Saturday delivery. Paid the extra, received the confirmation and waited in all day for it to arrive. Nothing! I complained and they told me they don't deliver backgrounds on Saturdays and it would arrive Monday or Tuesday. Weird, I said, I've had background rolls from them on Saturdays before. Quite happy to charge me for it though.

Now just take their stock control and delivery system with a big pinch of salt. Good prices, just an autonomous machine so nobody cares.
