I took delivery of a Nikkor 50 1.4 AF-S on Thursday, it was soft at most apertures, obviously faulty, so I rang and was told to repack it and they would get FedEx to collect it on the Friday.

I rang yesterday to check that they had got it back, chap I spoke to was unable to tell me as there was no info on his screen, so he needed to check with returns. He confirmed my phone number, and promised that he would find out and get back to me today.

Well fair play, he has just rang, confirmed the lens is faulty and has arranged for a new one to come out to me today, for delivery tomorrow.

I must say, I've always had good service from WE. When I bought my 1DMK2n, it was faulty in that the cameras wasn't reading cards in the SD card slot. They had it collected by courier the next morning and replaced it pretty much by return of post as soon as they'd confirmed the fault.

Best I had was the courier parked outside frantically rooting through the back of the van, me inside wetting myself in anticipation of my new 85mm f1.8 ... only for the van driver to admit that he could not find it :D

I rang WEX and explained, I received the new one the next day.
