your :cuckoo: :) only the doo doo doooo du du du song is any good

..." and suddenly.... [kerchung]... the lid fell off...!"

Classic soundtrack, and well worth a listen.

Great album, well produced, and how rich is Richard Burton's voice?

ive been listening to this for 20+ years, i love it all, apart from the priests song, which is a bit *****y, Richard Burton's narration is brilliant

No one would have believed that
in the last years of the 19th century
that human affairs where being watched
from the timeless worlds of space
No one could have dreamed we were being scrutinized
as someone with a microscope studies creatures
that swarm and multiply in a drop of water :suspect::exit:

Fantastic album, im often listening to it.. some classic tracks.. Iv seen the DVD of the new stage show of it! it has a 'Live' image of Burton doing the voice too.. its computer generated of course.. but its still a great production, some of the original voices in it too..

Hey I'm with ya.
Absolutely stunning.
First heard it when I was kid, and still love it now.

I think there have been quite a few attempts to copy it.. like Dance mixes and remixes..

I have the original release on vinyl :D

so, do you have to put the [youtube] tags in by hand?

Freaky - was listening to this on the iPod on the way home from work today!!!
Got as far as 'cos your not here.

Got the old fashioned album in the loft, with the booklet and everything, the casettes are also up there somewhere too. Cd's in the cupboard in the living room and the mp3's on two laptops. First heard it when I was about 9 or 10

Friend got me in to this too. Absolutely love it. Strangely good driving music.

Oh right.. great.. thanks mate..

Use the youtube tags at the top of the edit window, and just use the bit of the url link that is the filename, so if you edit your post above it will show which part to use :)

Well I'll be.
I've never noticed the youtube tags before :cuckoo:

An absolute classic album. We often listen to it

I have it on cassette, vinyl and CD. My sons love it too but my wife can't stand it. Her music taste does leave alot to be desired at times though.

Brilliant Album, I love it
one of my all time favourites:thumbs:

I think it was one of the first CD's I bought, although my memory is failing!

I first heard it when I was about 10, I have the vinyl in the loft and the CD's. Absolutely stunning pieces of music, one of my favourites of all time and a chill runs down my spine even now hearing it. The best fusions of modern electric instruments and orchestral works I've heard. My wife doesn't like it either...

is there any other?

Yes the original radio play by Orson Welles that supposedly had half of East coast America in a state of panic!

Wiki Article

It's a fantastic piece of work, I remember my parents had the original Jeff Wayne vinyl and I was captivated by it as a kid. It's always on my iPhone!

Track" Eve of the War" was on 12" vinyl as "Disco" version in early 80's.
The original single was on juke box in local pub....the B side-Red Weed,
was used to wind all the oldies up:lol:

If you go here you will find an mp3 of the 1938 broadcast by Orson Welles that scared the pants off of people at the time because they believed it to be real.

Had a copy since it first came out and saw the show in Glasgow last year. Absolutely blinding live performance.
