WANTED: student or very cheap wedding photographer

After much much much consideration I did ask DangerMouse if he would help us out, unfortunatly circumstances had changed for him & he was unable to make that date. DM has now been super kind & helped us find someone else to do our photography for october.

I would just like to thnak all those who sent pm's & kind posts....very much appreciated. x

Hi All!!!

After the post got slightly out of hand I don't think my photographer would like to be named, & a target for all the abuse some of the numpties on here like to dish out (obviously this is not aimed at most of you guys!), so therefore out of respect I'm not gonna name them!

However if your all bored then I will keep you all upto date with whats happening, & of course if my tog doesn't put pics on here in october I wil try my best to get some on here!

I did have quite a few offers of people wanting to help me in the end, & WE are more than gratefull. If there was or is a way I could help anyone who offered out in the future then I will try my hardest to sort that.

Glad to see you got it sorted out Gem but you shouldn't post the pics as you wouldn't have the copyright, plus there'd probably be a good reason for your Tog not doing it themselves

Of course, she did say that she'd try to get some on here. I took that to mean that, if the tog didn't post any, she would get his/her permission to post some so that the tog could keep their anonymity if they so desired. ;)

Nothing to do with the OP, to whom I wish an awesome day and think the TP meet idea (which i'd had a while back too) would be amazing.... but just wanted to back up an earlier point regarding how much a wedding photographer gets paid ... it's not PER DAY. Factor in how long you're shooting, travelling, preparing and post processing, as well as postage where necessary, prints, materials, insurance, wear and tear.. and you'll find a lot don't make that much PER HOUR.

Of course, not directly related to the original post but to some of the bickering about the rate being poor/good it is totally relevant.

gemc - I can't wait to see the great set of images the TP'ers do for you! This should become a TP meet!! :)

Surely the poster was not being serious. And if he was being serious then coming back with the beating children and animals comment is equally uncalled for! :P
 
I thought I'd read all of this thread, where did it mention beating babies?! And seriously, how sidetracked did people get, this is a thread about photography at the OP's wedding?! :cuckoo: :lol:
