WANTED: student or very cheap wedding photographer

Hi Guys!!!:wave:

I'm unfortunatly not a photographer but have been given this site in hope someone can help me out! :help:

I'm getting married in October this year & would love a photographer. With all due respect I cannot afford, nor either stretch my budget to the prices wanted by photographers in the area.
I was wondering if there was anyone out there who would offer us a fantastic deal or even a student who needs more experience to come & take pictures for us?
We will obviously pay, but it can't be a huge amount for a few pics. At the moment my budget is about £150 for pics & thats why i was hoping to find a student photographer (don't want to insult all you qualified & professional photographers out there) PLEASE HELP!!!!
 
i will do it if you will pay costs too, so 150 for me plus whatever travel expenses incurred. Plus of course you will have to pay for your own prints :)
 
well, i aint workin for nothing frankly... and that would be working for Nothing... people forget that its not just a day happy snapping, its also photoshop work, editing and that takes alot of time. i thought that was quite reasonable of me. Oh Well
 
I was hoping for a few pics inc, but mainly them all loaded onto a cd so we can print off what we like when we like.
The basis of the story is (get your violins out...only joking) we have about £800 budget to get married, have reception & feed people. Unfortunatly I only work part time as I have a 8 month old baby (the government won't pay for me to sit on my bum all day cause i've worked half me short life) so money is a touch tight.

I will keep your offer in mind though Feeb!!!

hey, well the prints wont cost you anything then (coz they dont need to be printed :) ) so i am happy to do it for 150 plus travel costs (which wont be very much) and you can sort out your own prints. - have a think and let me know, sounds like you have alot going on for you honey, fair play for planning to get married AND dealing with a baby xx
 
Well if I was closer I would love to do it, and for £150, but unfortunatly im all the way in Essex. Lol
good luck in finding someone though.
Im sure theres someone that will want the experience to have a shot at wedding photography with the understandment its on non professional terms
 
yeah i am sure later on some others will come out of the woodwork who are maybe a bit closer than us and be able to do it for you :) xx
 
yeah but i have a motorbike so it only costs me about 10-15 quid to do 150 miles. Its a bit of a mission but i like missions :)

As for travel expenses...is that plane, train or car???? lol
 
i would be interested but im up in newcastle lol... and it would cost me the 150 to get there and back.

Ah mine is a 250 Yamaha dragstar, its very nice and i can sit in it properly and its small enough for me to handle and get myself out of trouble. I like it very much :) am not much of a speed bunny, i find it fun going at 30, let alone 60! Weee!

I`m within 15 miles of Rochdale.

yeah i would never consider a moped a bike, they are more like those things old people use to get round Tesco. I had a 125 once and i still didnt have a moped. the buggers never even nod at you either
 
well.... getting a tad closer anyway in distance -lol....maybe i should talk bikes with you two? Or maybe not, my old bike was a raleigh max!!!
 
good luck finding someone - I'd do it for the experience but you're a tad too far away
 
btw i will be in my second year of University in October and i have just bought a metz flash kit so am able to produce some very professional shots. - make sure you get example shots from whoever you choose to make sure they arent a cowboy
 
you'll have to check the distance between here & there! I'm a girl don't do geography...lol. you've given best offer upto now.
 
This is why the quality of wedding photography is getting to an all time low.
After your food is gone and the limo ride is over, all you will have left is faded memorys and a load of crap photographs.
Get a pro.

I live near Rochdale but it will be more then £150.

Royston Vasey.....if I could afford a wedding car or limo i'd have one, if I could afford a 3 course sit down meal with family & friends I'd have that, If I could afford all the other expensive stuff that people generally buy for a wedding I would inc a professional photographer I would pay for one. UNFORTUNATLY I didn't come on here wanting to offer a sob story of what i can & cannot afford. Do you not think if I could afford to pay the professional prices n sod all this hassle I would?

If by any chance I've gotten hold of the wrong end of the stick & your offering as "a pro" to come n supply this service for us at what we can afford then i'm sorry & will gladly take you up on this offer....I'm guessing not.

£150 could pay for a pro .... like an hour of their time and just cover the ceremony.

There's no reason why quality should be cheapened just because the budget is so small.

But must also add Wedding photography is so murky .... and too many 'wedding' photographers have been ripping off for too many years. I don't buy that you have to spend hundreds of pounds for decent photographs at the wedding.
