Sandra is planning to visit Wales Late April, 2010 and is interested to see any pictures shot on the Snowdon Mountain Railway trip to the summit.

Do you know of any existing posts and if so, links to them would be much appreciated?

She has already visited the Snowdonia website that typically doesn't show too much.

Thanks in advance for any helpful info or suggestions.

Thanks Jean-Marie. Unfortunately my computer is highly allergic to flickr so it's not a site I visit.

Flippin eck, £86 return for a family of four , not a cheap family day out then

And you only get 30 minutes on the summit with the return - Hardly enough time for a coffee & muffin let alone a decent look around!
Single downward tickets are on first come/first served should you want longer (read risky, you might be walking home!)

They run a mix of steam and diesel - so if you want steam make sure to read the timetable small print.
Top is often in cloud, so expect cloud and treat a view as a bonus.
Trip up and down will probably be below the cloud and the views are excellent.

Richard and Duncan - Thanks.
It's well known that a woman's privilege is to change her mind, and she has!
After weighing cost against value Sandra decided that she would rather spend most of her time and quids wandering down memory lane in Sussex where she was born. She will also spend some time in London with a friend. We did UK and Scotland fairly thoroughly over 8 weeks during Sept - October, 1990 and spent a fortune when one AU dollar bought 42P - :'(Ouch!!! Presently at around 56P the rate is in her favour.
