Sounds brilliant. But I'm in New Zealand...

Nobody?

I would have thought that this was a great chance to add to a tear sheet library as it is working directly for the newspaper and will also count towards Prem/League License qualification.

No probs. :D

I'm just trying to source some decent known talent on here before opening it to a wider audience!

It's more likely to suit someone upto Conf level rather than a full time pro anyway, due to the level of pay.

I wouldnt have thought it would... sorry but you ahve to show proof of payment from the paper not the event organisor..

If I was close and nothing else on I would do it.. nothing wrong wiht the job :)

The client is a newspaper and whoever does in will be invoicing the paper direct, hence it will count as part of a cumulative accreditation both for a Press Card and the League. It's effectively a commissioned shoot for a regional.

Apologies it I haven't made that clear enough! :D

It does read 40 quid per session 80 quid for day.. so much better if your getting paid from paper as well ....I would be very surprised if it was just me :)

Ah apologies.

It's a commission from the paper to do the shoot. They pay £40 to cover each session, require 35-40 images for their online publication (which they also offer for sale to the GP) and then publish a selection of those images in the weekly paper which has a circulation of about 45,000.

I probably should have said Paper rather than Client in the initial spec! :)

As this thread is going this way, I wonder if anyone who's applied for a Dataco licence (Kipax?) can clarify something.

If a national paper pays you to cover a game (ie you don't go on-spec and then charge per image), but the photos still get published, would that count towards your 30 images?

I've had a difference of opinion in the past over this with DJ at Dataco.

if the paper hires you and your licence then they should go to the 30 images.. you send them an invoice just like you do anytime..i cleared that with DJ

if the paper send you on there licence then obviously not... if when you sign in the accreditation says the name of the paper then no.. but if your name and your licence then yes..

if you havent got a licence then its always no

Or to put another way

If you have a liceence and looking for 30 images to renew it then check acreditation under your name not papers
If you havent got a licence then no league or prem pictures will ever go towards a new licence no matter how you got them

hth :)

addyonbit : You dont say what pics.... its all down to accreditation.. who applied and in what name... if you do a local non league game towards your licence....if the paper organised you going and got you a pass then they dont count.. if you got the pass then they do.. always make sure its you who applies for match accreditation and then the pics are yours..

That's a shame Phil. Mind you, your going to be hard to tempt away from RL now aren't you?

I've got a potential backup option, but the position's still open if anyone is interested!

I am in aldershot the day before (shots v accy). If I can make that pay for the petrol and B&B to break even then I could do yours for profit... Otherwise I go down on the fans coach for free and back same day... will only know after weekend.. so go wiht your other backup option for now and if I can make it work will let you know after weekend..
