I want to sell my D200 and some more of my kit ie lens and other bits, I had it on here for about 24hrs and only got pms regarding splitting it all up which I dont really want to do as someone could drop out and leave me short and also leave me without a camera for a while which is a no no so has anyone had any dealings with Amazon for selling as all I seem to get are other peoples ads when it comes to selling and also all the items come up as seperate listings which is becoming frustrating:thinking:

I don't really follow...

You have had some offers for almost all of your kit, you wouldn't have ANY trouble selling the bits that didn't sell on here on ebay or Amazon, so what's the problem?

I'm not having a go - just saying that you shouldn't worry about it so much.

Amazon are okay, worth a shot as there are no fees if it doesn't sell!

Cheers,
James

All the offers were way below what they normally sell for so was just a tad disapointed so simply closed the thread to keep my pm box empty lol

Amazon take a lot of commision.

Ebay is probably your best bet.

Actually I was really quite tempted by your gear, I didn't want the lenses or the grip but fancied the D200, so would have bought it, and let the lens, grip etc go myself.

Individuals selling at Marketplace pay a GBP 0.86 per item completion fee, plus a closing fee of 17.25% of the sales price (11.5% for Electronics & Photo items) for each item sold.

That's a lot of commission , i'd sell what you can on here and ebay the rest, if you sell on amazon you'll have to sell all the parts separately anyway from what I can see

what I would like is someone to offer a swap for my dream camera a D2X but its not going to happen lol

Can anyone donate me a spare lung? I just tried reading through that post and nearly passed out! :p

Good luck with the re-listed sale DM. :)

Sometimes you just have to wait for the right people to be on looking to buy - it only took me 27 minutes to sell my 10-20mm yesterday, might take a few days to shift ALL your bits, but no reason they WOULDN'T sell...

Might I suggest you put prices for the individual bits as well? If it was my stuff I'd be asking something around:

D200 (plus book, DVD & straps) - £450 + postage
70-300mm VR - £270 + postage
18-55mm - £50 + postage
battery grip (I assume it's not the Nikon one) - £50

Which would put your offer of £700 all-in as an exceptional bargain!

I completely agree red but I am wanting it all to go as one hence the difference if I do have to go down the route of selling individually then the prices will reflect each item and your pricing is about the same as what I would be asking but as far as a one off sale someone is going to get a hell of a bargain and I will have the dosh for a body that I want so everyone is happy i dont want to make money by selling my stuff here all I ask is a fair but lower than normal price to get myself in the running for what Im after and if a TPer gets a bargain Im all for it

you could edit your first post in the "For Sale" section to read something like this - bit less cluttered, and prices are clearer...

Due to the wish for a D2X (PM if you'd like a swap!), I have the following items for sale. I will sell as a bundle for £700 + delivery. If there is no interest within 48 hours, I will split at the prices listed.

  • Nikon 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 ED G VR boxed with Hoya UV Pro filter and original hood. Mint cond. - £270 + postage
  • Nikon 18-55 F3.5-5.6 ED GII (unboxed, used once & mint) - £55 + postage
  • ND200 battery grip (new, boxed). More functions than the MB-D200, with backlit display. Takes 2 x EN-EL3 or AA batteries. - £50 + postage
  • Blue Crane D200 DVD - £10
  • D200 Magic lantern guide - £5 donation to TP

and put some photos of the camera/bits here

...always helps a sale! Good luck with it!
