Hi, pretty much as the title says really. I love taking pictures of dogs, especially moving shots.

I currently have a Fuji Finepix S1000 (I think thats the model) which is OK for moving shots outdoors in great light, but indoors, the pictures are always blurry, or dark and most definately not clear and sharp

Sooooo, I have decided to buy a DSLR, probably a 2nd hand one so I can get used to using it and learn how to take clear moving pictures. I take alot of pictures indoors (at dog shows) and would like (ideally) to be able to zoom in a fair amount, probably about 25 - 30 foot no problem, and to be able to take a picture where the subject is in focus, and is clear and sharp, basically similar to a professionals' picture. I'd also like it to be quicker when I take a picture, cos the Fuji I'm currently using can be a bit slow when I press the button to take the picture

My friend has a Sony A100, and I have to say the pics looked very good that he has taken, is this the sort of thing I should be looking to buy as my first DSLR?

*sorry, just realised I've probably posted in the wrong section
