I'm in the Wandsworth area of London (and somewhere in Surry) over the weekend on the 19th this month and not knowing that area wondered whats around there worth getting some pics of?
Any help appreciated.

I live in Putney and there are lots of locations. There are a number of bridges within a short drive / bus ride (Wandsworth, Battersea, and Hammersmith stick to mind). There are a number of parks that are well worth visiting (Battersea Park, Richmond Park, Wimbledon Common, and Ham). Failing that central London is only a short tube / train ride away.

Depends how far you're able to wander...

There's the River Thames, though it's not a particularly attractive stretch just by Wandsworth Bridge (unless you're into the majesty of the refuse handling works that puts rubbish into containers to be towed down the river on barges) and Wandsworth town centre doesn't win many prizes for being picturesque. Youngs brewery used to be worth a visit, but they've upped sticks to more modern premises.

Putney Bridge is just down the road, which is rather more photogenic. Eastward, on the river at Battersea, there's a Richard Rogers building, Montevetro, contrasting in scale to the adjacent 18th St Mary's Church that can work. Also Norman Foster's Albion Riverside.

Whereabouts in Surrey are you going?

Thanks all, I'll check out the bridges etc, not sure yet exactly how much free tme I'm going to have.
Rob, not sure where in Surrey yet, it's a big house/manor type place? haven't got all the details yet though.
Thanks again everybody.

You'll be spoilt for choice, whatever turns you on. For getting about by public transport there's a wizzy journey-planner, maps etc at Transport for London site.

Thanks again, Rob I'll keep the white horse in mind mate. :)
