It's weird and very different. I think I understand what you trying to achieve after reading your explanations. I did something similar in my 2011 52's for Hidden but my idea and thoughts behind the shot never quite able to translate into an meaningful image.

The OOF look is down to slow shutter speed, not actual focus.

Spooky - Nice strong blues captured there Walter. Plenty to look at in the image.
Re-Shoot - it looks like the building is curved. If you run a straight line along the roofline you can see a slight curving of the building. I think that it's a little bit of pincushion. Plus the edges show obvious perspective effects from being shot down low. A few minutes in PS ought to be able to correct those effects.

Definitely Posed Walter - is that an Elvis lip I detect. Certainly came well-prepared with those goggles for the underwater gig.
