just watched the second episode there and found it fantastic to watch but it must be scary for him walking through the hostile areas
I'd love to drag my camera along his route but my knees ache just watching him zig zag around the hills
The landscape and people would be brilliant photo ops but I,ll never get there. Aren't we lucky some mad people suffer for our pleasure
Anyone been in that region with the camera?

I enjoyed the first episode so much that I downloaded the Walking the Nile series. Great stuff.

Been very much enjoying this series for the past couple of weeks. Seems like a good guy, and the scenery and insight into the area is fascinating.
I'm looking forward to the next couple of installments, as I spent a bit of time in Himachal Pradesh and Nepal a few years ago, and am considering a trip back to Himachal and Ladakh in the next 18 months.
I doubt I will be doing quite so much walking, but i'd love to do something comparable to this series.
I'll have to find Walking the Nile, is it available on Catch Up anywhere?

Was that walking the Nile one when that Journalist chap died on the walk of heatstroke?

That was horrible. Never expected that when it happened but reinforces the dangers he faces are very real

All I can say is....ouch!

Wow, just watched the latest episode. Very lucky to live beyond that. Looked a proper sore one enduring that for a few days waiting on the helicopter

I keep meaning to grab the Nile book, apparently goes into much more detail
I've read the book it's better than the series, but then art they always.

I'm also loving the Himalayas series, some hairy moments.
