Yes
Here's a funny... about 4 weeks ago I got a warning from the docs that I needed a massive health regime change or face an early death (that's NOT the funny bit before you start :D)

Part of this regime change is 30 mins fast walk 5 days a week, but me being me I've done at least that every day. So going from walking to the fridge for another beer to over 15 miles a week, and NO booze at all

Now for the funny...

I have hairy legs, but not anymore!!! The outside of my calves are virtually bald  My beloved wife nearly wet herself just now when I showed her - sweet isn't she

So - anyone else into walking noticed their hairs have been worn off ???

outside, so not like they're rubbing together or anything?

Nope - that's what's so funny - only my jeans/tracky bottoms can have done it; or a very odd and localized effect of the new tablets - though amongst the HUGE range of potential side affects there is no mention of balding outer-calf :D

:) I can't speak personally but am sure it will be caused by friction of trousers on your legs as you walk.

I would suspect that all your trousers/jeans etc will be largely teh same size and style. to prevent this I would recommend wearing shorts ;)

What - and show off my bald bits :eek::eek:

You're not alone with this one DD...you've got through stage 1 (hair removal) and now move on to stage 2 (skin polishing). I also seem to be suffering the same symptoms on the top of my head but I never wear pants up there

Bald calved Bob

It those nylon pop socks your wear Dave that causes it.

Glad it's not my pink Chav suit then :D

I never imagined just walking could wear your legs into such a smooth polished look, saves waxing I guess. Now how to get the inside calf looking the same

Perhaps altering my walking style to a bandy legged John Cleese silly walk ???

DD

My wife says that women would kill for legs a smooth as my calf without waxing or shaving. I said bring some beautiful women around I will show them. Still waiting.

i get the same thing Dave, they grow back in the summer...

I was watching the Rugby the other day and wondered at all those smooth legs and stubbly faces - wonder if this is why :D

You actually looked at the faces :suspect:

When I was a Postie (25 years) My legs had no hairs on the knees and thighs! Within 3 weeks of retiring, all grew back!!
It's the trousers that rub them off!

Same problem here.
have different parts of my legs go bald depending on what time of year it is as to what I am wearing..
And women thing they have problems:lol::lol:

Dave, sorry to hear you have orders like that from the Doc. He must have good reason though

Hairless patches  I'm sure Chris has the same problem, but he doesn't walk anywhere!

Bob, the bald spot on the top of your head is easily explained I think ... It's from your head rubbing up against your very heavy Canon gear shelf above your bed (Penny told me :p). So every time you bump and grind the sheer weight of your gear wears all those hairs away, and as you said ... are now in polishing mode. Penny did also tell me she had started pledging the underside of said shelf so as not to cause too much friction.

:D

:D

25% chance of death within 10 years without significant changes of lifestyle :eek::eek:

Hence... changes :D

Dave you're doing better than me  But still .. listen to the man, he knows what he's on about ;)

So what other sacrifices have you had to make?

Dave, I hope your not one of those walkers who gets kitted out like an Alpine mountaineer to walk along the riverbank?

And why do they need two hiking poles to get around Booths supermarket in Keswick.................

So what other sacrifices have you had to make?

Cholesterol high enough to fly a kite - no fat, eat porridge, blah blah - and tablets for it too

Blood pressure high enough to inflate a car tyre - hence next bits

No booze - actually I was drinking too much anyway - dropped from 50 units per week to nil (saving about £150 a month though = nice)

Having to walk at least 30 mins per day fast enough to get sweaty

Got to lose 3 stone in weight too

Easy peasy really :D

 Nope - scraggy joggers and trainers - I keep my 'pole' in my pants :naughty:

Hi Dave, mine too are a smooth as a Babies Ar*e  ;)
The wife is very jealous

Sexy ain't it

 You must feel like a new man after cutting all that? Good on you :)

I'd like to 'feel' a new woman :D

1st 4 weekly retest this week - so I'll report what's happening so far after that. More healthy eating does make one a tad windy though, which is a great source of amusement for us childish types

Wear long socks to stop the friction.....

X2 on the childish aspect................

Firstly, well DD on making those changes (even though they weren't exactly by choice ;) )

Secondly, I think we need to see pics of your bald legs :D

When I first met my OH, he hardly had any hairs on his legs. He now wears looser jeans and has developed quite furry legs which I think is quite amusing

I'm with you on the healthy eating and wind issue too - I'm sure I could generate my own wind farm
