Having a moan, I hate waiting, had a new phone from amazon, a wileyfox and all its said is will be delivered today, courrier is amazon logistics, no time slot mentioned at all. And £8 for nect day delivery too!

Maybe they will knock on the door as I click post lol

Moan over :D

Since Amazon changed from courier to "their" own, I haven't had a time slot, just the day, PITA waiting around.

it's just got here, I asked him if there should be and he said no, they are using my hermes to the end of the month and then its just amazon logistics, due to the paths and deliverys are put together, so up until 21.00 it could take! Crazy, Yet dpd can do time slots and live tracking!

Think it depends on area too as they always claim Amazon logistics but ends up being DPD

It's Owens around here but it is a welsh firm. Wasn't sure if they had the national contract.

last one i had ,was just a geezer in a estate car with a proof of delivery machine that he was prattling on about not working properly ,and to cap it all he couldn't even be assed shutting the garden gate ,perhaps i should have let my killer toy poodle loose ,nothing like getting your ass bitten to make you close gates :thinking:

I've been off work sick and waiting for some stuff. My wife gets in, comes upstairs to say hi, goes to the car to get something and when she opens the door the parcels are there on the doorstep

No harm done I guess but if it weren't for the need to get cat food from the car they'd still be there!

Two minutes is two minutes

Aye, but be fair, the delivery guy is pushed for time + maybe you didn't hear him shouting above all the noise. At least he knew there was someone in. :D

I have known Amazon not turn up until 2030. Not what I expect from next day delivery.

That's one of the reasons I get them to deliver to the local Post Office - will be there, usually before lunch, and no need for me to wait in all day.

That is a crazy time to be delivering.:banghead:

I think it really depends on where you are living and what the demographic make up is of the area. It is great to have that time of delivery, compared to 9-5, in an area where most people work during the day.

I guess you can't win them all.

Parcelforce have started delivering more to me from various suppliers, and I now get texts giving me a 1 hour timeslot on their 48 hour service. Nor beating my favourite (DPD) but certainly better than Yodel/Hermes and Amazon Logistics.
