I made a wager on holdiay with the wife and she has lost!

now she gets quite bored when i rant and rave about tog stuff! Now my treat for her is photography lessons and how to learn to use the camera on semi auto and full manual modes etc... rather than on auto.

I am planning on doing 4 modules of theory and 1 module of practical coursework for her to get used to the camera.

was thinking something like:

1. General Camera Overview
2. General Lens Overview
3. Theory behind different setting and when to use them
4. How to set the camera up, i.e. using a tripod, techniques etc...
5. Practical assesment (work needed to demonstrate depth of field, composition etc...)

The idea is that she gets comfortable taking pics with SLR's and then when i get my 50D she can have the 400D. She takes loads of snaps all the time and gets some decent shots but scared of the DSLR.

What do you guys rekon. is this gonig to work!

or anything evil i can throw in!:lol:

why am i laughing - i may end up traumatised! :shake:

good luck with the teaching,
why not leavre the lens cap on and see how long it takes her to notice, i know i get caught out with that one.

Be nice to her. We don't want any rolling pin incidents!

your gear will never be your own again! You will never have enough lenses as the missus will have the one you want on her camera! .....oh, I get it, that is the excuse you need to just keep buying new gear! :D

lol at the thoughts but yes! maybe a hidden cause to expand on the lens range. if she does like i i feel another walkabout lens at least being needed.
