I want to buy a Wacom graphics tablet but cant quite afford the Intuos version just yet. (Maybe 2nd hand I could)
I would like to know what the Wacom Bamboo Fun is like. Are there any users out there that use one for processing using Photoshop CS3? And is it any good.?

In short: Is the Bamboo Fun going to be good enough for photoshop or shall I wait and save for the Intuos.?

The Wacom Bamboo is perfect for all your editing needs:thumbs: Not sure what the difference between this & the Fun one though.

I've got the bamboo too, although since moving to a laptop I've not used it as much, but as for accuracy it was near perfect (well, I couldn't have asked for it to be any more accurate anyway!)

What is your budget. Now that the Intuios4 is out you might be able to pick up an Intuios3 cheaper. I am well pleased with mine. I can't really compare it to the bamboo as I have not used one but if you are anywhere near an Apple store they have both on demo so you could have a play (even if you use a PC)

Thanx for all your replies. I am pretty sure I will get a Bamboo (not sure which one yet) but I will go to PC World tomorrow and see if they have any on display. Apple closest is Southampton for me so wont be able to get there til Sunday.

Thanx again everyone

I got the bamboo pen, as a birthday present, but keep finding myself using my fingers on it as if it was a touch pad, so maybe the pen & touch version would have been a better bet for me. (I am used to the multi touch track pad on Macbooks though)

I've got the bamboo a6 as well, great little device. Highly recommend it.

I have a bamboo at it's awesome. Make sure you don't get carried away and go for a big one though, in the case of tablets smaller is better.

Cheers everyone. You convinced me to get the Bamboo Pen & Touch. I have only tried it on my XP Pro laptap at work. All I can say is WOW.!! Amazing bit of kit.

I will try it on my Windows7 PC at home later. Hopefully all will work fine.

I cant believe how much more accurate & sensitive it is compared to my Trust Tablet. The only reason I got this was due to the Trust one having problems with Windows7.

I am pretty sure I will be ditching the mouse as I have used it all afternoon at work and really loving it. For anyone looking at getting a tablet, I hope you read this and my advice would be to avoid the crap and go straight for a Wacom. Its like comparing a Proton and a Merc E class..... They both do a similar job but one is far more luxurious and quicker.!!

ive got my bamboo running on windows 7 with no issues.. you will need to download the driver off the wacom site though, the default driver doesnt make the tablet the same size as the screen i found.
