Anyone using one? I am starting to find my mouse inaccurate for selecting out specific areas etc when I am PPing in lightroom. Are they eay to use? Does it take up a lot of desk space? How is it with LR4?

None for me - I have my laptop on my lap so keep the tablet on a low table beside me. You can get different sizes, I have one of the smallest ones - pad itself is A5 but whole thing is bigger than A4 as there are lots of bits on it I never use as am used to keyboard. For the work I do I find this perfectly adequate and it does not involve too much wrist moving around. I used to have a smaller one that was even better, could reach whole thing without moving arm

How is it with LR4?

Not a clue but perfect for CS5, LR3 and everything else, I never use a mouse
 
Thanks Christine. I am thinking of getting the medium simply for the size of the active area. How do you find the small one, cramped at all?
 
Thanks so much Christine! Time to apply the old grey matter to the problem. I wonder if there is anywhere I can try or at least see one?
 
Dodging and burning and selective sharpening in LR4 are exactly what I want it for. I spend a lot of time erasing the areas I didn't mean to affect when I do this with the mouse.
 
I too have a Wacom and use it all of the time. Only thing I miss is the scroll wheel from the mouse. Am I the only one or is there some way round this?

My wacomb has active scroll features although I am not using them.

I use mine on a dual monitor set up, the active tablet area has defaulted to the area of the two screens. Is there any way to Chang this?
 
I use an older P&T Fun Medium (what a name...). I works, but the pinch-zoom function isn't stepless. That might be better on the newer versions.

Yes and no. Don't expect to be awesome with it straight away, they take a bit more practice than say a new mouse would. Now don't get me wrong, you can use it fine right from the start but doing things like making a selection around something in PS using the pen tool might take a bit of practice just because it's new.

Does it take up a lot of desk space?

Depends on the size wacom tablet you get but the one mentioned in your post wouldn't be bigger than a mouse mat. The intuos 4 by comparison is about the size of a piece of A4 paper give or take a little bit.

How is it with LR4?

No experience with LR 4 only PS but it's fine with all photo software and it's surprisingly easy to use when pottering around your desktop etc. In fact i've mastered playing BF3 with my pen, not easy but was a laugh practising.
