Hi all

WUP ran and said this KB4035631 was installed OK but clicking through for more info there is 'not found' on the MS website or by Google searching???

Ignore.........what???

1) that it has installed OK?
2) that I should uninstall it?
3) the fact that there is no MS supporting info?

Update KB4035631 for Windows 10 version 1607
Update KB4035631 came out yesterday (August 7, 2017) for Windows 10 version 1607 in the Windows Update catalog and is classified by Microsoft as critical. Unfortunately, Microsoft does not have a support fee under the relevant KB number.

The Microsoft Update Catalog provides KB4035631 for Windows 10, version 1607 (32/64 bit), and Windows Server 2016. The update replaces the updates:

  • 2017-06 Update for Windows 10, version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4023834)
  • Update for Windows 10, version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3211320)
  • Update for Windows 10, version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4013418)
The size of the updates is between 5.2 and 11.4 megabytes. I assume that Microsoft will describe the updates in the course of the night.

From a translated German site: https://translate.google.co.uk/tran...sche-updates-kb4035631-kb4035632/&prev=search

Thanks for the pointer :)

But this has gotten more curious :(

Checking for update history, it is now empty!!!

Clicked on uninstall updates and there it was listed amongst many others................................normally another restart 'refreshes' such oddities BUT after a second restart not only is the W10 updates history still gone and though I can find this one in the list available the 'listing' is no longer catagorised by type but the date modified has gone as well.

This is in some ways similar to the way W7 Pro went pearshaped on me a while back (threads on here somewhere?)

Not sure what to make of this and indeed that it was this KB that caused because there I think 4 updates, two of which were described cumulative like this one???

EDIT ~ check the 3 KB's listed and all present in the list under uninstall updates.

Has it caused a problem?

Non discernible but because of my experience with a similar 'issue' with W7 that escalated to the point where there were problems I am maybe a bit sensitive to such an event.

So hopefully the W10 update system is more robust I.e. will MS release further corrective patches to 'restore' WUP performance/functionality?
