I don't think it's any big secret about how much data all the big vendors collect. Ms do it, google do it and apple do it. It's all there in their privacy policies and terms of use.
Ms for example -
https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/windows10privacy
As for the unwanted features installed like candy crush, jesus 30 seconds on Google tells you how to stop that. Same with feature you can't uninstall normally, 30 seconds with powershell.
Also those videos are 1) sometimes old info sometimes wrong info. 2) the guy is annoying. 3) containing swears, edit the posts to show NSFW.
I think you COMPLETELY missing the point here - like, the point, is a dot lol.
The fact that MS is taking the 'we will MAKE YOU have software you didn't want is (1) New (2) Uncalled for (3) To far into crossing the line. (4) Taking up hard drive space i dont want it to.
The issue isn't that it can't be removed (well actually it takes some 'effort' , reg edit and 3rd party 'hacks' to remove it - as you can see in the video - average jo can try to remove it and it just installs itself again - this is wrong)
WHILE it is indeed the case companies collect SOME info - APPLE IN PARTICULAR GO TO GREAT LENGTHS TO KEEP THIS DATA PRIVATE AND DO NOT RESELL A LOT OF IT
Google is a completely different ball game - their entire business model is ad targeting - MS is trying to move from a traditional software company to be more google minded - i.e. we will sell 'you' - apple is not trying to sell 'you' its trying to make sales TO you - it CURRENTLY does not profiteer off of your personal info..............nor does it blatantly collect data in its OS - nor does it scan your personal files and send that contents data to them etc.
I think lumping apple, ms, and google into one box, shows (all due respect) a complete misunderstanding of what these companies are doing and how they are working. - they are chalk and cheese philosophy wise.
I'm no apple fan boi .......... I only moved to them after avoiding them forever in the past year - i moved because i dislike the idea of how those other companies are operating now - sure they have data on me to date - and i choose to use google maps providing my tracking data to them - but thats it now, the gravy train stops here.
Apple though are mad about keeping you and your devices private - i like that alot - hell their designs such as crazy powerful phones line up with that - they do so much like image search, etc etc LOCALLY on the phone hence requiring mega fast CPU's and memory - only siri sends data to them - or of course if ur browsing certain web type stuff.
Also its well known that even with court orders Apple cant/wont hack its own phones, because, they are THAT secure - of course other pro hackers have round ways around, but IN GENERAL they are very well fortified.
