Just recieved and email from Practical Photography to say that my entry for Junes Photographer of the Year has been shortlisted!!! This means that i've got into the top 10 and won at least a £150 Jessops voucher and i'll be in August issue of Practical Photography!

thanks....the rules say it must not have been previously published, but i'm hoping that by "published" it means in a magazine or e-zine for commercial use, which it hasn't (it has been shown on here before, but i've removed it for now as I don't want to risk it)

Great feeling...have to try and forget about it until the mag goes on sale now!
 
nikon d7000 with 85mm and 35mm lenses and £500 jessops vouchers!

Myself and Nick have got £150 jessops vouchers for getting on the shortlist...got my eye on a nice new BR RS-7 :)
 
Well, the results are in.....unfortunately I didn't win top prize, but I am so, so chuffed at having my very first image published (plus £150 Jessops vouchers is a bonus too!). A big thanks to Practical Photography!

Been nerve wracking, like a kid waiting for Christmas Day!! Congrats to the winner too, lovely pic :thumbs:

here is the published image, it was also my entry for March's TP POTY!

I entered the same comp through digital photo (photo answers)
I'm guessing the video for the results will be posted up shortly then on their website!
