just read on the news that two arseholes in south london ,have kicked and trampled a woman who was 32 weeks pregnant .the obvious result being that she has lost the baby ,the two black assailants both wearing crash helmets must have known the consequences of there actions ,its about time the death penalty was re-introduced in cases like this where they can establish positive proof of the attackers .
enough is enough time someone got there balls back and stood up to this sort of murder properly

The world we live in is a s***hole and vermin like this should just be got rid of.
 
Given the nature of the attack, and the outcome, they'll be enabled to charge the f***ers with the murder of the poor baby.
Actually made me feel sick when I saw it on the news.
 
Sounds like, without knowing the facts, that they knew this woman and had it in for her for some reason?

what ever the reason its sickening ,i grew up in the east end of london when it was under the control of the krays and this would have been dealt with at street level we didn't need the old bill for scum like that .this has reviled me in a way i can't contemplate ,i was brought up never ever to hit a woman ,and stop anyone that was let alone a heavily pregnant one ,i honestly feel like puking at the moment

If the unborn child is after 24 weeks gestation it is classed in law as a viable human life. ..capable of surviving ex utero.

Repeatedly kicking the belly of a pregnant woman is highly likely to result in the death of the baby.

Deliberately inflicting injury which will reasonably be expected to result in grievous harm can be charged as attempted murder.
That this case resulted in the death of the child, the attackers can clearly be charged with the murder of the child and the attempted murder of the mother.

I hope they're caught.
I hope they strenuously resist arrest.
If caught tried and convicted, I hope they are put in general population and the other inmates quietly told of their crime.
 
Vile act, unfortunately it happens and this seems to be for a very specific reason. I doubt the helmet wearing guys did this off their own accord.
 
To the OP Jeff.. You make a point that the two attackers are black but no mention of the womens skin colour.. any real reason to even tell us what colour they are ?

I would assume as simple as that that is how the news is being reported and it doesn't mention anything about the woman. Nothing more sinister or to be insinuated from it. Anyway that was my interpretation.

this isnt the news and it wasnt a copy and paste.. the OP typed it out...hence my question.. why the need to make a point of the attackers colour of skin but nobody else?

He also didn't mention any one of thousands of other salient facts, yet you choose to pick on this one. The term was factual, not derogatory, so I am unclear as to why you are taking offense.

Imagine he was giving a description to the police as a witness. You think that that fact would be unimportant in trying to find the culprits?

Are you looking for reasons to defend them?

Heck it didn't even mention whether they were muslim or Jewish either :p ;)

Excuse me? why do you presume I am taking offence? is this the point where you start to make up things about me and decide to tell everyone I am offended? please let me decide how I feel not you..... I am not offended one bit.. I just found it odd so politely asked why.... then you come along and tell people I am offended :(
 
The article I read mentioned the ethnicity if the attackers but not that of the victims.
Given that they were still seeking the attackers, and appealing to the public? I see no problem im mentioning their skin colour.

it is normal these days to say

"the attackers were two black men"

or

"the attackers were two white men"


that's PC ....... not the opposite as you seem to be suggesting ...... or are you saying that's it's OK to say "the two attackers were white men" .......... but not that they were black

spouting the usual hypocrisy that unfortunately has become the norm in the UK ........... what's wrong with mentioning anyone's skin colour? - presumably the witnesses weren't colour blind! ........ what would you have said if you saw that the attackers were black?

are you suggesting that this is "racism" ........ pathetic

if they were black ........ that's what they were ........ and it should be reported ........ the fact that other information may have not been reported is just the fact that it has not been reported

Yes this is sickening and I do dispair at what this country is coming to.
However where is the evidence that bringing back the death penalty will stop this type of crime?

Probably because there is no need to identify the victim, but there is a need to identify the attackers so any clues that can possibly help someone who saw the guilty pair leaving the scene having removed the crash helmets can then come forward with whatever information they may have.

Quite frankly Roger, I don`t care where the evidence is. For two men to do this act to any pregnant woman, then they forfeit the right to their own lives.

I am heartily sick to the back teeth of these horrendous crimes becoming more prevelant in our society.

We are not a third world country that allows vile acts like this, the sooner we stand up as a nation and say so the better. If that means executing some disgusting specimens of mankind, then so be it.

there are two things that men should not commit acts of violence on, women and children. Those are the values that we once had and values that we should return to. This is not Somalia for f***s sake.

While I don't agree with the death penalty and never will, I certainly understand why people would want these people to face it.
 
The law in this country is very weak. Criminals know that they can get away with so much these days. Bring back hard labour and slopping out etc. Real punishment!

Very impressive rant, hope you got it off your chest, unfortunately the death penalty will not stop this type of crime, vile acts like this have always happened in our society and were more prevalent in times when the death penalty was in force.

It wasn`t a rant and my breathing is quite normal thank you.

The death penalty was in force for centuries when all kinds of vile acts were prevelant amongst all sections of society. But this is supposed to be the 21st century, we are suppose to be more civilised, so could you please explain how we should deal with people who commit crimes as the one mentioned above?

I never thought anyone really thought we were becoming more civalised, especially when you consider the history of the previous century. I would lock them up for life, that way if we did by some chance find the wrong people guilty we could make some attempt at rectifying it. Death is very final! More importantly I would look at ways in which we could actually reduce this sort of crime. That means a cool headed look at what is effective not calls for revenge, but as you said you do not really care what the evidence is, not a very civalised response!

There may well have been, but I don't think we can draw any definitive conclusions from that. There are too many variables, if we compare, say, England when the Bloody Code was still in force and today.

We cannot draw any definite conclusions from that I agree, but we can look at the numerous studies that have been done which mostly indicate that the death penalty is not a deterrent. I'm not sure about the life without any chance of parole because of a hostage situation, but much harsher sentences are required for some types of crime.

quite plainly and simply because it was stated on the BBC news bulletin that i read that it was Quote "two black men wearing crash helmets " plain and simple ,not white men on bikes or japs on trikes ,i really can't stand people that take the high ground and try to turn everything round to a racial context ,we do have members on here that will live or work in that area ,the road they escaped down was also mentioned ,if it jogs someones memory that would be of benefit to catching them then so be it . and for the record i mention earlier i grew up in the heart of the east end "hackney " i grew up and still have friends of ALL colours ,races and religions i treat people as individuals so get that f*****g chip off your shoulder before someone eats it .

as some one once said it only needs good men to do nothing for evil to flourish
