So as a few of you will know, I put a thread up about choosing a new company car sometime ago, well.... I have actually bought a Passat GT estate 190 (got a great deal) and chose thecar allowance route

Before I got the car, I did the usual and read up on all the new toys and gadgets and noticed you can select a driver profile which will change the wing mirrors, the seat position, the radio stations, driver steering, throttle etc.

The only successful thing I have managed so far in this, is changing the names of the drivers haha... when I selected myself and put all radio stations etc, I then went onto the Mrs profile and selected the ones she would like. BUT, then when I went back onto mine, hers were there....

What am I doing wrong? I would imagine its just a simple press and hold a button to save. Google has been no help and when I mentioned it to the salesman, he didn't know about this feature but contact me and let me know (which he hasn't)

can anyone help?

p.s. for those who said ACC is great and I dismissed it..... how wrong was I and thankyou
 
I don't actually know, but are the profiles linked to which key you are using? Maybe you are setting both to the same key and the second profile is getting applied?
 
My googling says you set the profiles per key. But they also say read the manual for details.
 
In our (BMW) Minis individual settings are per key.

From your description, if the system were independent of keys then I should expect there to be an option to save settings and upload individual settings to memory. It sounds like somehow settings aren't being saved.

I understand the drivers profiles to be for the vehicle driving settings in my Golf R. Not to have individual radio station prefixes. The passat may be different bit it sounds like it is the same.
