Hi all,

what settings does VSCO change?

I wish to customise one of the settings and save it, but in the dialogue box that shows when you save a preset I am unsure which checkboxes I need to select.

VSCO presets usually include:
  • Custom calibration profile (this is why you can't how VSCO presets do what they do, it's hidden as a calibration profile)
  • Custom tone curve
  • Changes to a variety of options from across all sub-panels in the Develop panel, but usually not Exposure or White Balance
If you're saving a modified preset check everything, and then uncheck those not specific to your preset. Normally I would not include:
  • White balance
  • Basic Tone - Exposure (but keep the rest of the Basic Tone options checked)
  • Lens correction (uncheck all options)
You may or may not choose to include Graduated Filters and Radial Filters - it depends on your personal workflow. I usually don't.
