VPN

Been looking into setting up a VPN but, it's all greek to me.
Tried a couple of times but, without success.
Does anyone know of a step by step guide to how to do this?

Preferably both, more importantly accessing home network, was aiming to try a free option for starters.
I'm using a Asus n66u router, on Windows 10.
I see 10 has a built in option but, no idea how to use that.

I didn't realise that Windows 10 can run as a VPN server.

You would ideally need a static IP, or something like dyndns that will map a domain to your dynamic IP address. You will then need to set your router to update dyndns when your IP address changes.

Yea, I followed that tutorial but, couldn't make it work, I'll give it another go tomorrow, cheers.

Your Asus router has the VPN server capability baked-in I believe.

If you are trying windows as a VPN server you will need to pass TCP port 1723 through your router firewall, as well as GRE

Well, I've tried the Windows 10 way and, through the router, both with no success.

I must admit though, when it comes to messing about with ports & such, I'm at a total loss.
