Volunteers Restore Tsunami Damaged Photos

Last winter the empty bungalow next door had a major flood inside due to a burst pipe.

I had to break in to shut the water off as the son of the owner was away.

While I was in there I moved a lot of the furniture out of the damaged area and came across a lot of old photos so I spent the next week restoring them and getting reprints done. The old dear is in a home now, but despite being completely deaf, still has all her marbles and I like to think her photos meant a lot to her!

Just goes to show how important photographs are to people. Well done to all those who volunteered their time.
