Hi folks,

Anyone know much about this camera model? There's one in a local charity shop that they don't have a price for yet. I'm not certain of the model, it's definitely a Vito and I think from googling for images it looks like the C (I noticed there was a cutout in the hardcase on the underside so you could view a counter?) All I've been able to see so far is that it's a rangefinder with a fixed 50mm f/3.5 lens. There also seems to be to shutter options (4 speed & 8 speed). Anyone got an idea of value...couldn't find anything much on ebay for a guide.

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris

I usually use this website to identify Voigtlander cameras.

http://voigtlander.pagesperso-orange.fr/cameras.htm

Its pretty much a complete list I think.

I had a Vito B, C, CLR and Vitoret and they were all really good cameras.

These were taken with the Vito C

If it is a C it's definitely worth getting, cracking little camera that produces really good images.

Thanks for the info and the link Andy. As I only got a few seconds to look at it before the shop was closing I still can't be sure if it's a C or an earlier B variant. The woman that showed me it said they'd have a price by Saturday so I'll pop in again for a better look and see how much they want for it. :)

If its a C and in good condition about £20 if its a B no more than £15. You might find that if you get it you want to try a cold shoe viewfinder as its a lot easier than guessing the distance.

You can usually get one for about a tenner.
