Vivitar 736AFC with Canon 20D

Hey, i recently aquired a vivitar 736 flashgun, it works perfectly when not attached to the camera, and its voltage is safe for the 20d, yet when i attach it to the camera, it will only fire at the minimum power, and wont manually increase,

Any one experianced anything like this?

hi mate

not had a problem like this but i would say its may be due to the age of the flash and camera.but if it works of camera fine then you may whant to look at the slave flash boxes on ebay and make sure you contact them to make sure its ok with you flash.their is also the remote triggers thats worth a look
