Yes, a tragic accident involving Eggbert and Co. was very high on my list of possibilities. He lives to fight another day. (And no comment on the latter part! :lol: )
 
Perhaps missing a night light (or other similar heat source).
Nicely done. Not sure how you could have kept the needle in sharp focus and still have the 'powder' OoF top right.

Utter shoe horn / Place holder, but he DID pose.....Insisted I got his best side too. :-)

He's fully grown, Em, and was busy feeding at the time.
Got properly stroppy having the camera pointed at him... Hence the glare!
