Virtual Tours

When looking for a place to stay on Mull we found a few with virtual tours of the rooms and i wondered how this is done?Anyone ever made a virtual tour of anything and care to give me an idea.

I know a guy does it, its done using a wideish lens and a special tripod head that shoots 360x360 degree photos with overlaps then the computer interpolates them

It's not that hard.. just place the tripod in the middle of the room and take around 18 images moving the camera around slightly leaving a good overlap.. then use Microsoft ICE (free) to stitch the photos together.. Once you have your panoramic I would then use something like Pano2VR to create the 360 Flash file.
